I've seen a lot of different videos on painting Be'lakor but yours is easily my favourite. It's such a great looking colour scheme and seems achievable. It makes me ponder a group of daemons in a matching scheme.
I have thought the same for some time the 40K daemon Prince I did last week in a video is the same scheme and I think it worked there as well. Glad you liked the video. And thank you for the supper.
I recently got the Neoeco airbrush after watching your video and I was wondering if using the contrast basillicum grey via airbrush (using same priming base you suggest) will yield the same skin look?
I’ve glued the chains on mine and been waiting to paint it for ages. I’ll use this method, if anything the chains will encourage me to be careful and get those lighter layers! Are the first two dry brushes going all over the skin or just the darker chest/wing areas?
@@MediocreHobbies especially from your videos, mate!!! I am more of a competitive player, so your speed painting tutorials are really benefitial for my painting process and I learn a lot, EVERY SINGLE TIME
going to do the same thing and leave the marine/warrior bodies off so i can use it for both sigmar and 40k, won't be perfect with my night lords or world eaters but beats buying another model
Congratulations! I plan to paint my Be'lakor with an airbrush, but finally I saw how it looks with basilicanum grey all over. Do you think ti would look ok to put basilicanum grey over a zenithal priming?

What a brilliantly simple but stunning scheme👌
That’s so kind pal.
Great tutorial, got me brave enough to paint for the first time in a decade!
Wow that was cool to read. Really glad you will pick up a brush again.
This was a brilliant take on Be'lakor, and of Chaos Undivided! Hats off!
Cheers dude.
Great stuff! I was just going to drybrush Be'lakor as in the GW vid but I think you've sold me on using contrast.
That’s so cool glad you liked it. Hope you tag me when your done I’d love to see it.
Great video as usual. End result looks fantastic.
Thanks pal.
This was great! I might even use him at the AoS tournament in Dec if I can get a decent army painted around him! Fab work!

Dude, this is so perfect. I’ve been wanting to do a Mars base Belakor with Contrasts! Thanks a million bro!
Really glad you liked it pal.
@@MediocreHobbies No prob!
Fantastic! He really looks great. I don't have any use for him in any of the armies I play but man I really want to get one just to paint.

Thank you very much!
No worries pal.
quality content. i've gotta buy some contrast paints
Thank you so much pal. Glad sulu liked them and yes contrast will change your life. Just be patient and learn to use them. It is a skill.
I think I’m going to use this same recipe on the the new Daemon Prince.
That should look really cool.
@@MediocreHobbies or Archaon. I want Dorghar to look darker, I don’t want to use the fleshy colored underbelly and wings.
100000000000% I love it amazing work a huge well done 👏
Thank you so much pal.
Really cool 100% going to try this.
I'm not sure if I missed it but how did you do the chest icon?
I just painted in some red contrast.
awesome video . i was wondering if you can up the audio though. for me it feels like you are whispering instead.
I shall see what I can do. Glad you liked the video.
I recently got the Neoeco airbrush after watching your video and I was wondering if using the contrast basillicum grey via airbrush (using same priming base you suggest) will yield the same skin look?
Emmm probably not. I like the control of the brush. You could if you wanted.

All over. Glad your getting him down now.
amazing cool
thanks
great vid. unfortunately I already glued the chains onto the wings. so drybrushing is gonna be a little hard
That’s unfortunate. They will make it a lot harder to drybrush indeed.
@@MediocreHobbies I saw your vid and immediately realized what I did wrong. but hey - one‘s gotta learn from that
@@bigdripmac8685 yep. Everything is a learning experience.

Oh that’s a great idea! It’s a very big model so you should definitely try to get as much play out of it as possible!
Congratulations! I plan to paint my Be'lakor with an airbrush, but finally I saw how it looks with basilicanum grey all over. Do you think ti would look ok to put basilicanum grey over a zenithal priming?
As in through the airbrush?
Either through the airbrush or with a brush. I'll do the zenithal priming with the airbrush.
the sigil on his chest, was that just more flesh tearers red like the tongue?
It was indeed more flesh terrors red.
How do you zenithal spray him. Any tips on directions? I have atm Vallejo grey primer and black

This video should show you how I zenith prime then from rattle cans. But an airbrush prime will also do the job very nicely.
@@MediocreHobbies so it looks like it did you do a gray prime on a 45 all the way around? Or Just from straight above
@@mkulchar about 45 yes. I don’t leave the under completely black.
@@MediocreHobbies ah ok so a complete 360... Got it thanks
