Lovely episode! I loved the tree socks and all the mitts and mittens. I haven’t knit any arm/hand knits (I just started this year) but I am keen to try. I’m a bit scared of the thumb but maybe one day - and soon! Also, absolutely love the show notes - it’s amazing and very hard work so thank you. Stay safe, stay positive and hope to see you soon!
Thanks Laura, that’s so awesome that you started knitting this year. Keep us posted on your knitting journey, love it when more people get inspired to knit!
I enjoyed the podcast. Kelly, I love my Ugly Sweater bag. I have a quilt that I made in the fabric line Eat, Drink and Be Ugly which I just brought out for the season. And now I have a matching project bag!
Thank you so much for all the quick gift knit ideas; so helpful this time of year! (I'm trying to knit faster as the Christmas deadline approaches, what I needed evidently are just better project ideas lol). Also, I very much enjoy when vloggers share personal stories (and how this impacts their lives as makers), so as much as it pained you thank you for sharing your windstorm experience; I hope your leg is continuing to recover speedily!
I totally hear you about trying to do things when in pain. That door accident sounds awful! I’ve been down with Covid and have been really sick since Nov. 4. I couldn’t even look through a magazine, let alone read or knit! Got behind on my Christmas knitting! Glad you’re doing better. I am, too, thank goodness. The snowmen and star were amazing!
Thank you Cheryl and so happy to hear that you are finally on the healing side of Covid. Let your body heal with time and be patient...your knitting will be there for you when you are ready. Take good care.💜
Hi Suzanne and welcome! I haven’t in the past but am actually working on one now and refining the pattern to get to a style I’m happy with so there will be zippers in the future!😊
Loved seeing it all! Just a note about Sew Liberated, unlike most other Big 4 and indie pattern companies, they draft for a C cup. My Hinterland dress did not fit at all, I gave it away. I’m not a C cup and will need to do a number of adjustments if I make this again. Just a heads up. As a skilled sewist of many years, I think there may be easier patterns to start on. I would hate to discourage any new sewists. Again, loved seeing it all!
Just found your podcast a few nights ago and enjoyed it very much. The show notes are excellent and there were so many things you made that I had to download the patterns. I do have one question though is there a link for whomever makes those lovely mugs?
Thanks so much for watching! Welcome to our channel. Here is the link for Remembrances Pottery remembrancespottery.com/ you can follow on Instagram, where updates are posted, her mugs are beautiful and they sell out quickly.
Thanks Sue, it’s never too early to start making gifts and decorations for Christmas, plus smaller projects are perfect for outdoor knitting in the summer.
I’m enjoying your podcasts ty! I’m new to knitting and would love to know if u have any tips when knitting in the round such as with sweaters or such to keep it symmetrical vs a lil wonky as in the round is spiraling and a row below vs worked as separates and then joined. Love your creativity and look forward to seeing more videos to come. Thanks for the smiles and joy brought from your pods
Thanks Melissa, glad you’re enjoying the podcast. When knitting sweaters in the round, I sometimes add a purl stitch down each side of the sweater, in the middle of the underarms, this creates a bit of a faux seam at the sides. This also helps with blocking as you know where the exact sides of the sweater are. Hope this helps.
Thanks I’ll have to give it a try it’s a bit intimidating but I’m not defeated. Started as a crocheter and expanding my skills It’s amazing what’s possible and the beautiful creations that are made, I’ll try one of those mini sweaters as a test vs large project. Thanks again for the helpful hint and encouragement. You both are talented and I enjoy seeing your creations ty!
Thanks for watching, will post recipes going forward. Here’s the recipe for the shortbread www.mypersonalitea.com/2019/01/09/day-0-grandmas-shortbread/
I would love to make every single thing you showed! LOL!! Oh well, 1 project at a time. :-) Kelly, I hope you're on the road to a quick and full recovery. Sending you lots of warm "fuzzy" hugs! ♥
I have recently subscribed and love all of your projects that both of you make. It is rare that I fall in love with all the projects, including yarn and color choices. You two are not good for my wallet. Lol. I also love all the little tree ornaments that you make. Hopefully I will have enough made to fill a tree with them by next year. Love you guys!
Thanks so much Vanessa! Making the tree ornaments is so much fun and a good way to use leftover yarn! There are so many awesome yarns out there it’s hard to resist buying!
Hi ladies, love all the work socks they look great, and all the ornaments are amazing, I knit a couple last year... I really should knit more they are so cute! 💕
I enjoy seeing all of your beautiful creations and listening to your conversations about them. It’s nice to learn new things too! Thank you for brightening my day:)

Hi Suzanne and welcome! I haven’t in the past but am actually working on one now and refining the pattern to get to a style I’m happy with so there will be zippers in the future!😊
