Great interview Jay! I honestly don't think the figure swaps is on Hasbro. Target, Walmart, and all the retails need to take a moment to tell their employees, "Look, when people return these, flip it over, look at the back of the box, and make sure what's on the back is in the front." I've had to return things at retail stores where they open it up to make sure all the contents are inside. The retailers could simply train their employees to use their eyes.
It would be nice if the retailers paid closer attention. Unfortunately I doubt you are going to get most min wage workers to care that much or even their supervisors. If they did I don't think this would be such a wide range or long lasting problem. I don't blame Hasbro for it but I think Hasbro is the only one who would really be able to put a stop to it.
I've even taken swapped figures up to the main desk to report the problem and 2 days later came back and found the same figures on the pegs again.
New X-Men wave is coming in 2018. Apocalypse is the BAF.
ShartimusPrime I told the manager at TRU exactly that , have your people flip the box and check the back but nothing has changed. I guess they don't want to bother checking. I agree with Jay, Hasbro needs to change the packaging because the stores will never fix this problem. #bringbacktheclamshell
Surprisingly, over there in Mexico, the retailers wrap the packages in a crap ton of tape in order to avoid this, and it actually works.
Glad you asked about the vehicles Jay C. This is a HELL of a reach but I'm hoping for a GOTG Starlord spaceship. Hell, it can be an exclusive if need be.

Someone needs to get them to address the issues with oversized heads on many figures.

I talked to one of the Hasbro guys off camera specifically about the Hover Chair and they said it is one they have discussed. The only drawback is the hover chair is not something they can really reuse so it makes it less cost effective to do. Hopefully they will still find a way to make it happen.
Jay C I heard also they coulden't fit it in the box, if there ganna put bikes they can put in the hover chair, even if you put it together like the marvel universe Charles. Anyway i love your coverage great job and thanks.
It's easy to get a motorcycle for Logan, there's a wide variety of 1:12 scale ones by Maisto. Some of them look really rad.

The packaging is nice i think, in VA where I'm at i really only see people taking the baf parts but i never have a hard time finding figures, i just get impatient knowing they're coming out and waiting for them to come out lol

It is a one time thing.
Is August 14 still the date for sdcc marvel legends on Hasbro or has it been moved to September?
Not sure. They moved the Star Wars ones to Sept but didn't mention any of the others. I've reached out to Hasbro to try and get clarification on the Marvel ones.

Glad you brought up the packaging. It's a bit of a complicated issue but like you said teenagers getting paid minimum wage aren't gonna make sure it's the same figure every time. I don't think it happens enough to the point Hasbro will change it. The stores would have to start losing money because of it and then they might pay more attention.

Marvel Legends 3.75 inch is cancelled?
No. In fact earlier in the week some when I was talking to them about 3.75" they made indications there was something coming down the pike that would make 3.75" collectors pretty happy. I have no idea what, but def they seem to have more plans for the line.
Thanks but they usually showed in previous conventions some figures for the following year, and they have only shown us Rainbow Deadpools and the movie figures of Thor Ragnarok...
I wish you (or some other interviews) asked them about why movie waves have about 3-4 movie figs and then the others are comic boom characters. Like I would've loved to get a tony stark figure(without the iron man suit) in the homecoming wave with the spidermen and vulture and a Ned figure too! I think that could've been great

Why won't you tell em why are always reusing shit for the comic book characters. Like they never sculpt lines and shit. There's a gem here and there like swamp thing but the company never goes the extra mile.
Hey Jay C.. Some Advice for when you do interviews.. Hold the Microphone a Little Bit Further from your Mouth.. There are times when you do & it sounds Great, but most of the time it's too Close & it Muffles Your Voice & makes you SO Much louder than the other people you interview.. Take this video as an Example.. The Hasbro Guys Sound Good because of where you've Put the Microphone, but when you Bring it back to you Don't Bring it as close & then you'll be at the Same Volume as them.. Just a Suggestion that would make me enjoy your Videos a Heck of a Lot More.. Take Care.
