It’s a turtle on that tee shirt. From the Electric Light Parade. Looks like to me anyway! Now I want some fish and chips! I’ll have to check out what is in my town!
Loving your vlogs We’ve from Yeadon right next to LBA Coming out next April on a road trip for our 60th Not sure the fish n chips are as good as Harry Ramsdens Guiseley that was 😂 Keep up the vlogs it’s helping us thru a cold UK autumn n winter 👍
There is a fish and chip shop in Grimsby that was on the news last week selling fish and chips for £3.00. The staff work for no money as volunteers. No, it wasn’t April Fools day either. !!!
If anyone is vegan or vegetarian and dining at EPCOT, the Rose and Crown (dine inside) has an amazing vegan fish and chips option served with mushy peas. The “fish” is made by Gardein and is delicious and even the meat lovers agree. It is served with a vegan tartar sauce but if you are a vegetarian you can ask for a standard tartar sauce which I like much better. They also offer a savory Impossible plant based hot pot casserole which is also delicious. It is well worth the extra price to dine inside at Rose and Crown.
I have always enjoyed Cookes. Never tried the place beside Rose and Crown. I do enjoy Captain D's or long John silver for what I refer to as crunchy fish. I believe the shirt was a spinning turtle from the Main Street Electrical Parade.
Hi guys just catching up after our big apple trip, we love the Raglan Road fish and chips over the Rose and Crown for a sit down chip supper never ordered at Cooke’s but guess it’s the same as inside keep safe Andy and Vonnie
If you want true American fish and chips you must go to an old fashioned catfish restaurant that the catfish is not battered in flour but coated in cornmeal! Crunchy and eaten with tartar sauce! Absolutely delicious!
I'm still trying to figure out the difference between fish and chips and fish and fries? I grew up in Canada and there were a lot of good fish and chips places. Culver's also has a decent fish and chips, but I find their batter too thin and gets soggy fast. Kinda like Miller's Ale House. I've had the fish and chips at the walkup window in Epcot and have never been overwhelmed.
IMHO the best I have had in the Orlndo area is Clermont Fish house on 50 in Clermont. I think I pay about $15.50 for cod or hadockc and chips. You can get mushy peas, curry sauce, gravy etc. I have also heard that the fish and chips at The Pub at Pointe Orlando is very good, but I imagine a bit dear. Both serve beer.
I love Fish n Chip but never tried any in Disney. Ana and Gilbert (Gerald 🤣) love the fish n chip at Cookes of Dublin and to me looks better than the Epcot one. I don’t like the batter too crispy. Great video ☺️
The UK pavilion had the Yorkshire County Fish Shop 23 years ago and fish n chips were $6.25! Glad to hear that they’re still the best. Only been to Cooke’s the once and actually sat 2 tables down from you. The pie looked great with big chunks of chicken.
In US tourist areas there is always a fish and chips British pub and usually they have loyal local following. In Las Vegas there is a pub chain called Crown and Anchor, which is not touristy and off the strip(although they do place a London cab in front of each one), so locals are the patrons, which says a lot about the value and quality. It’s VERY difficult competing as a restaurant outside the casinos in Las Vegas but Crown and Anchor has been around for many many years. For any restaurant to survive Covid is an accomplishment!
We have done quite a few vlogs from the Crown and Anchor on the Channel . There Yorkshire pudding are huge, last time we went straight there from the airport before dropping our bags off lol
Hi Bary / Maxine, love your blogs, but as Leigh said there is more to do than the theme parks. As you live there can you do more vlogs of the real Florida. Love your humour btw.. love from a Yorkshire guy x
Bill and I regularly go down to the Crafty Crab Tampa on Dale Mabry, which is pretty good, too 🙂 I generally go for the fried catfish basket with fries, which is only $14.99 🙂 It's an American sized portion of fish and fries, so pretty decent 🙂
A couple of weeks ago back here in the UK, BBC Look North had an article covering the price of Fish and Chips in the Yorks. and Lincs area. Average price is now £10 for Fish & Chips and people are complaining. Comparing with Orlando prices I would say it's not bad. It isn't a cheap tea anymore though.
@@ThemeParkBazza I think Clermont Fish House is the best fish and chips I have had in the US. They compare favourably to fish and chips from the UK. Comparing them to fish and chips in Cornwall.
Have you guys tried The Best of British Pub & Cafe in Davenport?? Last time we went to Friar Tucks, they were out of a lot of items on their menu. Was kind of disappointed.
Yes we did a vlog from there before , the chippy next door has shut done now though . FT has been going downhill a bit from what we have seen in recent posts
Forgive me for asking the obvious question, and maybe you’ve answered it already…..but why don’t you just make your own fish and chips at home? It’s incredibly easy and quick to make, far cheaper….but more importantly SO much tastier. What am I missing here? Do you normally cook them at home and this vlog is just to show where you can get them when you eat out? I’m confused 😆 Love your vlogs xxx
It a UK thing for our generation . Fish and Chips were always a treat you had when you went for a day trip to the seaside or a special treat at the weekend . Always bought for a chip shop
@@ThemeParkBazza I’m with you on that. I’m your age and from Scotland…when I was young it was a huge treat to have fish and chips and almost always on a day trip. But age has taught me to make it better myself, or maybe I’m just too tight to pay the prices now 😆 Wherever you get it from..enjoy xxx

This is message from Mrs Bazza only so Mr Bazza do not read. Lol. Mrs Bazza, how the bloody hell do you keep up with Bazza. For his age he is unreal and a bundle of energy. I bet u sleep well Max. Lol.. I went to whitby over the weekend. Just a normal cafe £58.00 for fish and chips each. It's extremely expensive now for chippy. 😢😢😢😢
And just to add.. Ps I'm going back 10 years. The fish and chips I had back then at the same place in epcot was around a 4 out of 10 so must if improved.. I don't know if it still there but the cricketers arms in orlando did fantastic fish and chips, a good 9 out of 10..Hopefully it's still open so you guys can try... One other question, have you both ever tried oshucks bar on idrive?.. If not its great on a Saturday evening for karaoke. Love to see you both drunk and singing. Lol. Have a great day today.😮
😂😂😂 keeping up with him for 36 years and counting, I deserve a medal!! The Cricketers Arms is no more, closed down even before Covid. We don’t do karaoke ( believe us you don’t need to hear that ) so have never been to Oshucks.
@@ThemeParkBazza I agree Max you deserve an Olympic medal. Lol..Lovely bloke though. He knows it's just banter. I'm 51 and he puts me to shame. If I didn't know better I would think he was on drugs. Hahaha. You take care and thank you for the reply.
I will rewrite it…….. The pub chain is here in Cincinnati and I believe it’s the best USA (owned) fish and chips. It’s $20 or €12 for a wee and the only gripe is the chips have pepper on them. Fish is always tasty. You have one international drive.
The first fish and chips looked good but what’s it like having a beer with them, maybe it’s a barlick thing but I like a brew with mine lol.

You can not beat Rose & Crown fish and chips - Kevin & Cyndy UK
They are the same ones from the Yorkshire fish shop out side but half the price.
