Each time I have viewed a video you posted on the Faber Castell Ambition pen, I was so drawn to it. I finally bit the bullet this morning and ordered it in the pear wood model, medium nib. I like the under-stated design.

Faber Castell nibs are fantastic! I have three of their pens and they all write beautifully.
I totally agree, Faber-Castell nibs are a joy to write with. And I also should have mentioned that the imprint on their nibs is very attractive.

This was interesting -- thanks! I have the Ambition in soft mint and would enjoy swapping the nib units. Now I'm curious to see the fine nib!
Me too! Usually I compare writing samples on Goulet's nib nook, but I didn't this time. It looks like the F, M, and B nibs are all really close in size. So, I should have gotten the F instead of the M in order to have a noticeable difference in line widths.
I want this so bad but the grip section sounds super uncomfortable!
Yes, I love the color way and overall look of the pen and she makes it sound like a very satisfying write, but that grip section looks like it would cut into your finger.
I have no trouble with it. The grip definitely bothers some people, but it depends how you hold your pens.
The Ambition doesn't really have a proper grip section, I hold mine up a little higher than normal, on the barrel. It's not my most comfortable pen, but I also don't find it to be uncomfortable.

I recommend doing a search for "Faber-Castell Ambition fountain pen" and see which retailers come up. They can also be found on Amazon.

@@karma13612 LOL, no problem! I find the Ambition to be a pleasant pen to use. Since the section of the Ambition is too small for gripping, I hold the pen a little farther back than usual and it ends up being quite nice. 😀
