To get a full fill, you need to fill, then dispense, and fill again whilst keeping the nib in the ink to dispel the air in the converter. I have this pen too, and it is a lovely, lovely writer.

It's a pretty nice pen. I have the all black one. I find it rather on the heavy side -- enough so that it likes to almost fall out of a shirt pocket! Good thing the clip is so robust. I also find that it's not the most secure poster but with my large hands I need to use it posted; the cap tends to fall off while writing. So, those are my negatives. They're counter balanced by the nib!!! Truly a wonderful writer.

I have this very pen, but I think that the cap does not screw on tight enough to prevent the nib from having hard starts. Other than that, the pen writes well. I've read on online forums, that others have also experienced the dry hard starts

Literally started using this pen today properly. Thanks for the heads up on the hard starts! Will keep an eye out on it.

Some also doesn't post despite some of the pictures that show it posted. Mine personally doesn't post, but I have seen those that do.

      You know what`s funny?
Just yesterday, I pulled out a few FP`s from my pencase which had been left inked for oooh, about 6 months (oops), and two of them actually wrote right away, no encouragment needed, no shaking, no dipping in water, nothing, I was so surprised by that I laughed out loud hehe.
And here`s the kicker, the two pens in question were a Tramol F10, which is a 3 dollar eyedropper demonstrator (probably why it hadn`t dried up), and a 2 dollar WingSung 698 piston filler demonstrator which also holds a LOT of ink.
I just found it funny that 2 of my most affordable pens could start writing right away after all that time, when even my Lamy cartridges had dried up (:
(I`ll do better next time, I didn`t ink the ones I cleaned and will keep it to 1 or 2 from now on hehe)

Faber Castell makes the best steel nibs on the market, but their pen bodies are atrocious.

What sort of issues have you noticed with the pen bodies?

It's a very nice pen! Did you mention what nib it has? Maybe I missed that. 😇🩵🙏🙌

Hi. Got this in Medium. The nib itself maybe directly from Faber Castell - not seen it on other pens.
