An American from the southeast here... I've just recently discovered these old videos of the TCM series and I'm enjoying the hell out of them! These are FUN to watch - heck, I'd participate if offered the chance. No holds barred, bare knuckle racing on some great tracks - with some awesome vintage tin! NASCAR? Blah, been boring for a long time now.... Yes, that's blasphemy coming from a southerner, but that's just the way it is. -Ed on the Ridge
Moparedtn , 10 - 12 March 2023 sees the start of V8 Supercars at Newcastle in Australia , if you get on to the V8 Supercars Web site it will show all the different tracks including here at Bathurst later in the year . It's great to see Americans finding our race series , and it's anything but boring .
The Best motor racing hands down, just like the good old days. I first watched a Bathurst in 1968 & mate this is the way it should be with different classes.
Absolutely love this racing! So much better than formula 1 and all the others, it's great to see the Capri doing so well. Always wanted one but they are shooting up in value.
10:50 that's some masterful car control. Touched, pointing in the wrong direction, avoids the wall, senses the spin feels ye I got this. Grab first gear point the steerers up the road drop the clutch and smoke it straight up mountain straight. Superb driving.
What a track! The most beautiful track I've ever seen. And this racing reminds me of old planes where you had to "fly by the seat of your pants." That's how these boys drive! And with this more limited form of racing the death rate should be lessened. And that's always a good thing, eh?
Not changing lines under brakes or anything just taking a defensive line. Nothing wrong with that. No need to just let them pass. If they are fast enough they'll get by. If they dont get by then they aren't fast enough.
I want to see these guys have a 1000km race with the old track (no chase), no regulations on the number of pit stops, brake changes, no safety car....... Lets turn back the clock.
I'm sure bowe would be relishing driving the Torana so much more chuckable the that giant block of flats mustang he parked his arse in previously. the Torana was meant to be a race car great power to weight ratio and no lack of grunt. brock proved that time and time again
The 5 losers who thumb down for this I bet drive rice burners like skylines or Silvia pieces of crap that need a turbo to make them go fast instead of naturally aspirated.
Shannons sponsor , Read there insurance reviews and they are so BAD im looking elsewhere. You cant comment on the shannons channel they got to many complaints. You can only rip people off for so long before your business suffers with your name.

A mixed bag of lollies is so much better than just one sort.

イイですね〜!これぞレースの真骨頂!
In Western Australia 1970s we had the 6 hour Le Mans, brilliant racing.
Mate those fords sound soooo good.

6:48 in "Fuck!"
Nice car control not to rear end the guy in front. And very lucky he aimed parallel to the wall before lockin up. Pretty to watch.
love the blocking done by red xd and blue xe stopping bowe and many more going past "bravo "
they have to block Danny because if It was a twenty lapper bowe would be all over they're arse and waving goodbye

Not as bad as Bowe @11:45 actually weaving from side to side to stop the red XD getting back past on Conrod
@@matthewisaac6895 Ye but what happened from the chase onward.
Those fords weren't fit for road, let alone racetrack.
Very nice view..
NOW THIS IS RACING NOT THAT SUPER CAR SHIT
No downforce. Its all About driver skills. Amazing
fantastic old skool racing, dont get noise like that nowadays
Is the Falcon and ford Grenada?
It’s an XD Falcon very similar looking to a Granada but shared no parts!

What NASCAR should look like, (except for the steering wheel being on the wrong side)
No yellow flags or safety cars, these guys know how to drive.
12:03 GR8 pass A B
Can anyone tell me the name of the red and white car at 7:26?
1974 Holden SLR 500 Torana

Torana slr 5000 actually
Pontiac firebird or slr5000 torana
firebird where i missed it
Capri v8 was the fastest car there power to weight and balance just like bowes torana
dean fisher Dean I owned a built Mercury Capri in the 80’s with a built 4 banger. Very light car I can’t imagine one with a v8 racing engine.
Onya Seato
Would be better without all the mouth racing in the booth
The 5 losers who thumb down for this I bet drive rice burners like skylines or Silvia pieces of crap that need a turbo to make them go fast instead of naturally aspirated.
Shaun Sandman - or they're the kind of person who wants motorsport banned because it's killing mother earth!
@@Full_Otto_Bismarck I agree completely!
6:50 Anderson is hopeless all he does is crash and come off the track, get out of there
