H.G Garuranga Darshan Prabhu, is a disciple of H.H Radhanath Swami Maharaja. He graduated from the premier institute of IIsc(Indian Institute of Science), Bengaluru. After working for a few years in corporates like TCS, he decided to join as a full time monk in 2009 at ISKCON Chowpatty. In 2010, he was requested to serve at Govardhan Eco Village, a farm project connected to ISKCON Chowpatty. Every eco-friendly brick used in GEV will speak of his hard work for he played various roles in the building of GEV initially and started the BhaktiVedanta Vidyapitha in 2012 under the guidance of H.G Gauranga Prabhu and blessings of Radhanath Maharaj. He is the Dean of the Bhaktivedanta Vidyapith and has written the famous Subodhini series on Gita, Srimad Bhagavatam and Chaitanya Charitamrita and many other books like Disapproved not disowned, Bhagavata Pravaha. He publishes articles very regularly in BTG (International and India).
Gauranga Darshan Das is a prolific speaker of the scriptures having deeply imbibed the imports of the scholarly commentaries of the various acharyas of the Gaudiya Vaishnava tradition. He teaches Bhagavad-gita, Srimad Bhagavatam, Sri Caitanya-caritamrita, Vaishnava character and several other spiritual courses.
His sloka recitations, Nectar Verses short video series, online courses and programs on Hare Krishna TV and UA-cam are adored by several devotees across the globe.
He has a great attachment and taste for deity worship and specifically dressing the deities. With great love and dedication, he heads the Deity Worship department in Govardhan Eco Village. He also holds various managerial responsibilities at GEV .
He is an example of sincere surrender and service to vaishnavas and guru without considering his various personal inconveniences, also deep attachment to sastras and acharyas like Srila Prabhupada.
