Here are my favorite sketching materials. I used most of these in this drawing:
Paper: amzn.to/2gVUEoO
Blue Pencil (I use the lead it comes with): amzn.to/2gHKqrN
Yellow pencil: amzn.to/47pummi
Lead in the yellow pencil is 0.3 3H: amzn.to/2zqOEvc
Grey kneaded eraser: www.dickblick.com/items/21502...
Black pencil: amzn.to/2zG2drE
Lead in the black pencil is 0.5 4B: amzn.to/2zqs0mJ
The white blender is a stump: amzn.to/2zrSUdI
(a good alternative to stumps can be Q-tips ;))
Electric eraser: amzn.to/2gYxuhu
White gel pen: amzn.to/2zs1rNZ
Paper under your drawing hand helps prevent smuding. This paper is also great for sketching: amzn.to/2gVUEoO

What kind of art pencil is that you are using to shade the nose?
I'm just here struggling to draw the triangle.......
Kay GamingZ u can do it
Kay GamingZ samee
Kay GamingZ same ;(
Same I’m over here with a pig looking nose😂
Twillza Builds same here...
I was trying to find my own style in art. Then I found out that I have a interest in realism mixed with cartoony, and you were the best reference I have ever found in the internet. C:
P.S. I love your tutorial it’s helped A LOT! So could you please do a “how to draw eyes?”
ClearLyClaire_16 Waffoshiba_inu Sorry But Thats Not How you find you're style..
@@zohriajani9338 Sorry, but that's not how you spell correctly..
@@zohriajani9338 It sort of is, because to get started you have to know which style you want. If they were to do realism it requires different steps even if the basics are the same.
Your style is called semi realism
That's called semi realism I want that to be my style too C:
this is the only tutorial that looks easy and when you try it, it really is easy. thank you so much for the tips !
so glad!! :D
My noses still look like deformed pineapples 😅😅
i don't recommend using that triangle
Strong Independent Black Woman Who Dont Need No Man well if people like using that method they can. just because you don’t like it, doesn’t mean other people won’t like it. :)
@@g0rybtch that's why is a recomendation, optional.
ofdusk 🍍 when I draw mine they look like deformed strawberries
mine look like deformed potatoes XD
When you don't even have the blending stump...
Liv q-tips work well too! :)
Thank you so much!
I don't have anything except my pencil, so I just try to shade it out.
You can make your own blending stump by taking paper and rolling it up like a pencil and then taping it and then there you go
I use my finger.
This is such a great explanation! I love how simple you made the process. Awesome!
"simple" i dont have that crap i only have an electric pencil
Shut up
@@janegross3563 it isnt that hard just get a normal pencil and your finger
@@janegross3563 just don't overthink it
There are are so many noses that exist. There's the looooooong nose an the lil stubby nose..
And then there's Voldemort.
😂😂
Yuo
Yup

The hardest part for me is drawing the nostril 😂👌
Mine looks like an onion with a happy face.
At least it's cute ! Being optimistic is the first step to succeed in any new thing you try. You'll get that motivation knowing your happy little onion's gonna look like a nose soon.
Very helpful and easy! I've always struggled with noses the most

This was such a helpful tutorial! I'm aiming for a semi-realistic style mixed with anime style as well and it's exactly what I was looking for. I have no idea what to do for lineart now or if i should even do lineart lol. I'm not even gonna start thinking about coloring and digital art but this is perfect for sketching.
Thank you very much. I was on the edge of figuring out a consistency, but your structure for the nose saved me all the led it'd take to get a handle on it.

Thank you so much for helping me achieve the kind of semi realism/anime style ive ALWAYS wanted to achieve
I can't tell you how happy this video made me!! Thankyou!
first time I visit your channel and I am impressed. I have been waiting to watch a tutorial as neat and as well explained as this. Thank you so much!
I’ve been drawing since childhood and have taken courses in high school as well as college, bought (too many) anatomy books, and watched probably years’ worth of time in YT videos...
....and it wasn’t until I watched yours that I finally found an easy-to-understand and reproduce method for drawing one of my least fav parts of anatomy.
Kudos. Bless you, child. Liked & subbed.
Heck, I should probably pay you for the time you’ve saved me from drawing/redrawing noses 😅
Edit: also, I draw nearly 100% digitally now, and this method works just fine using digital drawing programs as long as you use the blend tool for the stump 👍
Lol, I also draw digitaly, and was confused when I didnt find the "Stump" too, thx for pointing out its the blend tool 😅
The BEST nose tutorial I've ever seen! My students will love this. Thank you!
wow! thank you so much for these tips! i’ll definitely try it out! i’ve always had a hard time drawing noses.

An excellent video. Good class. Great informations. Congratulations from Brasil.
@@jenpeninstyle6556 Let's make that Brazil
@@jenpeninstyle6556 well that's how you spell Brazil in Brazil (wtf did I just write?) basically in Brazil you spell Brazil as Brasil
@@jenpeninstyle6556 Maybe learn to spell before correcting people. Also, In Brazil it's spelt with an S so shut the hell up
This tutorial is incredible. I love the no nonsense style of your education. Thanks for sharing this. You are a champion. Subbed

Great way of approaching it. Thank you 😊
Dude this is so useful - you explained\showed the tutorial so clearly thank you so much.
this is like wayyyyyyyy simplified and stylized. I very much disagree with saying this is how to draw noses but I love what it looks like. It's really nice to use too but this video really just shows how to work around actually learning how to draw a nose. Still love the style tho definitely will be using this a lot
