Thanks for this review! Pretty much the only review of the Sherpa VNDs that I have seen where the actual image quality and color cast is compared.

Glad you enjoyed it! I try to show what I'm talking about anytime it's possible - better to show AND tell instead of just watching me talk!

The best tutorial, which is not sponsored and explains much better than others, the truth is, a very good video. I send you a big hug from Mexico

So glad I found you. I just purchased the freewheel equipment you reviewed, plus the 18 mm wide angle lands, the 1.7 telephoto lens and the gold anamorphic 1.33 lens.
sure would love to see reviews on those items as I am very amateur with my photography skills

I am so glad I found this video. Exactly what I needed to know. Heading to the Caribbean next month and would like to see how this can improve my images (not my own image, no filter can help that, lol).

I'm so glad it was helpful! I've found the ND filter helps to bridge the gap between mobile footage and what I can capture on my other filmmaking gear. It's not a necessity, but it's just another tool to improve the quality of the image. Enjoy the Caribbean!

When to use 1-5 vs 6-9 step nd filter? Which is more go to? 1-5 time around sun set and 6-9 at bright day light?

The one thing I hate with the newer iPhones that even if you lock in the setting in whatever app and you go from lighter to darker, the camera adjusts the setting by itself. I have the freewell ND filter and when I adjust the filter the iPhone still automatically changes the lighting. Not sure if anyone has noticed this?

I didn't run into that when I last used it - the key was to make sure to lock the exposure in the app by holding down on my subject, then using the slider to manually set where I wanted exposure to land. Once I did that then it locked into the look I wanted!
