Thank you! We will be there Nov 2023, and I was wondering which ports would provide the best opportunity for some easy snorkeling for my wife without having to pay for an excursion. This is perfect!
Were the spots walkable or do you need to take a taxi to get to them? I know the beach gets crowded in the area close to port. We’d love to find a less crowded snorkel spot. Great footage and beautiful blue water.
Everything in this video was within walking distance and pretty much right near the cruise ship. If you look at the far left side of the video around 0:48, we were basically straight out in the water from that area. Since we were snorkeling near the edge of the marked swimming area, the water wasn't crowded at all. If you want spots with even fewer people, you can keep walking along the beach towards Jack's Shack or you can walk/take a taxi to Governor's Beach. We stopped at Governor's Beach when we rented a golf cart back in December 2018 and you can see how uncrowded it was, even with three cruise ships in port: ua-cam.com/video/bPPvrVeeyY8/v-deo.html As you can see in that video, the snorkeling wasn't as great, so it's a bit of a tradeoff. Hope this helps!
Loved snorkeling in grand Turk!
Beautiful video! We have a trip scheduled in February 2024 to go there and we will check it out. Thank you.
Hope you enjoy your visit and the snorkeling!
Thank you!! We're going to take our snorkelling gear this July.
Hope you enjoy your visit and have great snorkeling!

you should also mention that there is a cannon and an anchor to look for underwater on the north beach
