Thank you for posting this. I was thinking about renting a golf cart for my upcoming cruise and this is so very helpful and made my decision to do it easier.
Glad you enjoyed the video! We spent about 3-4 hours exploring the island with our golf cart. The island is relatively small, so it's easy to navigate and relatively hard to get too lost. There's only a couple of "main" roads, so if you make a wrong turn, you can just head back to the main road and get back on track. If you download an offline maps app, like Organic Maps, you'll have an even easier time!
We got lucky and got a golf cart that was being returned because the people driving it didn't understand the carts were slow. They thought there was something wrong with it. We beetled around the island and went Geocaching and went out to the lighthouse. We managed to get the price down to $85
I love all your videos. Thank you for all of the info. Are you able to give us specifics about how you reserved your golf cart prior to your cruise? Which company and contact info would be helpful if possible.
Hi, Tammy! Thank so much! We reserved the golf cart from Wet Money Enterprises (www.wetmoneyent.com/) using the email address you can find on their contact page. It took them a few days to confirm the reservation, but it was otherwise a painless process. Make sure you have a copy of your email conversation when you get to port so you have proof of your confirmed reservation.
thx for this awesome video!! since I am traveling with 12 people and my parents who can’t walk a mile in the hot sun is it feasible for us to get a golf cart and run back-and-forth to get them from the visitor center?
If I understand your question correctly, you are *not* able to drive the golf carts through the shopping/visitor center area. You can only leave the parking lot area where you pick up the cart and go explore the island. Hope this helps! And feel free to clarify if I've misunderstood.
Hi, Marty! Yes, we paid for our gas (and the rental) with US dollars. We don't remember the exact cost, but the gas plus tip was $10 or less. The tip is not expected, but we tipped because the employee and owner were extremely helpful.
We got the cart around 1:30pm and got back around 4:30pm, so roughly 3 hours. It's not a huge island and we did everything at a pretty leisurely pace. Hope this helps!
If you want to book through the website, you'll be forwarded to a secured 3rd party for the booking and payment portion (via fareharbor.com). Alternatively, you can reserve by emailing them and pay cash when you arrive, which is what we did.
We did not reserve a golf cart and they were sold out. We rented two jeeps. They were both on empty and gas is $6.00 a gal. Save your money, there is nothing to see on this 7 mile island. The ships dock right next to the beach and you can walk to a nice location, chairs and umbrellas are free. Beautiful beach and clear water.

Glad we could help! Hope you enjoy your visit and exploration of the island!
@@TheJellyBeans Thank you; I am looking forward to it.
Excellent video!! Love following your videos. How long were you out with the cart? Was it easy navigating around? Thank you.

I will keep this in mind.

Very nice! There's definitely no risk of getting a speeding ticket! 🤣

Was US dollars sufficient to purchase gas? Mind saying how much it cost for fill-up? Thank you, I love all your videos!

Good enough place
Does anyone know the name of the vendor inside the terminal that rents golf carts? Would like to reserve before we get there
Hi, Rebecca! We rented our golf cart from Wet Money Tours (www.wetmoneyent.com/). They're located inside the cruise center area.
How long did you ride around the island?

@@TheJellyBeans thanks! Very helpful video
Hm... that website (wet money) does not use a secure connection. Has anyone had any problems with credit card fraud after booking?

What golf cart company?
We rented from Wet Money Tours: www.wetmoneyent.com/
