With the paralysis I think it could be use for the aquatic scorpion back in prehistoric ages and the timer would be like Mabey 12 or 13 minutes so that it not to op or it should be longer than that
Paralysis seems pretty busted for mixpackers if it’s an attack. Imagine getting paralyzed by a microraptor and then there’s a rex wailing on you before you can move.
Maybe that’s why there’s the paralysis immunity so if anyone other then the dino that poisoned you attacked you you’re immune to it for a short period of time so you can get away
This would be a example of sequestration (If you search it you’ll find mainly the legal terms and carbon sequestration, but it can also mean the act of eating something toxic and using that toxin for your own gain) many species of reptiles are known to eat poisonous prey to then make themselves poisonous to their own predators. While I suppose it’s possible that some dinosaurs did this, for very large species (which the average player seem to like the most to no one’s surprise) probably didn’t. While being poisonous is helpful when you’re already upwards of 4 tons, such as the barsboldia presumably, the strength you’ll get just from being that big would likely be enough to allow you to protect yourself
Imagine microrapter has a paralysis attack which does minimal (if any player damage) that is mostly used to escape larger potentially dangerous creatures.
That ability would NOT be used to “escape predators” and i’m sure even the devs know that. It would just be used to handicap victims so the microraptor’s larger group mates have an easier time taking them out. Microraptor’s size and climbing abilities make such a ‘defensive’ ability pointless
With the new radar/sonar system that Struthi has, it would be a very cool idea for the mud effect to somehow reduce your scent, masking your presence a bit and therefore making it harder to detect you on a sonar/radar…
You may say it's boring, but mud could potentially be quite versatile. There's reducing bleed and venom like you said, but in the event that PoT finally releases a scent system, it could also work as a temporary scent blocker and even offer some crude camouflage if you're able to wallow in it like in The Isle. It might even offer a slight incoming damage reduction while applied.
@@dionettaeon That's Dondi for ya, ( main isle dev ) . He thinks if POT adds scent, its somehow copying the Isle so he threatened to sue if it gets added. Not worth the hassle, or money.
Gonna use microraptor as a example Maybe they can make it so you'll need 5 microraptors to paralise a dinosaur which makes your Dino unable to move for a few second and the bite as a long cooldown
The issue with this is that these aren't animals, they're player controlled monsters, so anything meaningful added like paralysis or blindness is going to be exploited in ganks.

@VelocciYT Mud could actually be a part of an enormous set of changes coming. Mud would probably go with a set of ENORMOUS buffs to Bleed, and Mud would be used to help lessen Bleed Damage taken when Standing, walking, or sprinting. It makes sense, find a Muddy area, sit or lay down in it for a period of time, then get back up
I think you will walk through mud and it will give you the med effect which slows you down. Because when I get a lot of mud on my legs I get a bit more slow. But I don't know
I know this has been said a few times, but I really do think that the micro raptor might have some form of paralysis attack. Maybe getting that special paralysis attack by eating a bug or two and then having that charge that has like a four minute cool down, but can do, an incredible amount of paralysis, especially if they have a insectivore diet.
Meg with paralysis would be so good like if he bites you a lot and stacks lots of venom u become slower then eventually become paralysed. A good example of this is a game called primal haven where a dilo or a group of compy bite u then slowly apply venom on u and it drains ur stam when it’s all drained so you fall asleep and well. They eat you alive like they actually start eating u. Also maybe Microraptor could have a small paralysis to small stuff or venom or toxin from the stuff it eats like specific bugs?. Like it gets a buff when it eats a certain fish like the fish buffs
Mud: pretty basic we technically have it with the giant salamander, it either increase the heal rate of abnormal status (other than bone break I'm guessing) or completely removes them Paralysis: the only ideas I had we it prevents you from moving other than turn in place or prevents you from using certain abilities say the only abilities you could use were tied to your primary and secondary buttons Toxin: probably just bleed 2.0 maybe it does less damage over time but you need a certain thing to get rid of it maybe the orange flower things (one in desolate pass) or salt rocks for example. Or maybe it prevents you from eating thing's like the orange flower things or maybe a metris corpse is toxic so you're discouraged from hunting them
I think mud will make you slower and maybe use more stam. Semi aquatics and some other playable will be immune to the mud debuff. Like iggy cuz it's a strong boy
My theory is that paralysis is going to be for micro but here's the spicy stuff! The immunity stat is going to be based on the size of the target, prioritizing group hunting for microraptor so they could take out large targets, but the thing is micro would be very weak damage wise so they'd have to be very strategic while hunting.
Could be used for building nests, or hide your scent if the mechanic is introduced. Protection from other status effects, envenom or slick to escape attacks.
Maybe a rework for metri and meg? Venom is pretty useless right now and the devs are aware of peoples’ complaints about it, though megalania does decently enough without it, a new toxin would benefit both Toxic spikes miragaia would be sick, or maybe a diet type for a few select playables that gives your dinosaur a buff when eating poisonous foods like death-cap and poison berries that will make your dino reflect toxin damage to attackers
I saw mud on the official server on the tropical swamp island! although you can't pick it up or see what it looks like picked up... but if you f, pick it up-- it does deplete.
What if the paralysis/toxin will only take effect after enough venom is put onto a creature, like if a meg bites an allo enough to give it over 1 and a half minutes of venom it will get toxin/paralysis? Maybe meg will get 2 kinds of venom bites that can add up to the different status effects? Like its viper strike and venom bite, maybe viper strikes will stack venom until it does the toxin status and if it uses the venom bite it will give the allo paralysis. And maybe meg will lose the second head shot? Or it could be something where it has 2 new abilities where they cant both be used at the same time and have a high cooldown, like maybe toxin will take a chunk of health out but have a 45-50 second cooldown and the actual toxin effect will last about 15 secons and do that much damage. And then with paralysis it could like- be an attack that has a 30-60 second cooldown and the person has the immunity for 25-30 seconds instead that way massive groups cant just have the player paralyzed constantly?
similarly to drenched blows being affected by the opponent being wet, there could probably be an ability where you do more damage the more muddy your opponent is, or that idea you talked about with bleeding
I feel like paralysis could be used in the bars tlc, like you get bonked and are paralised for a short amount of time. In the same way, antiparalasis could be a call used by bars to stop friendly fire in a fight. As for toxin, i feel like it could be a recoil affliction like psittacosaurus's quills, rather than a stackable status from an attack. It would make miragia a really interesting herbi to play if thats the case, and introduce a much more defensive and passive play style. I feel like it would be interesting if the mud status took a route kinda like some monsters in monster hunter, that being that you gain armour and maybe a slight resistance to certain status effects at the cost of speed and mobility. An interesting last ditch buff when losing a fight that could turn the tide in either your own, or your enemies favor. These are just my takes on the statuses, but the other theories certainly seem pretty interesting too
Mud for some nest build system ? Many other resources that can be seen directly on the nest are also available to collect in the immediate vicinity of the nest. Perhaps we have to build the nests ourselves larger and use mud for that?
Some of my theories: Mud: Temporary increase stamina and/or health regeneration. Toxin: Replaced venom and cause vomit if stacked (maybe toxin can be on rotten corpses and certain plants) Paralysis: Increases cooldown time for certain attacks while in combat.
I would assume paralysis will be like, a dino does an attack on other dinos, the paralysis drains stamina, once opponent is out of stamina they are paralysed, they can see everything, they can talk in chat (maybe not) they can ehar everything, and if they are being eaten alive, they lose health and die,and become a new corpse that hasnt been eaten. Maybe biting the corpse will also take away health fo the paralysed victim Also they will become unparalysed if the paralysis expires, they arent dead, and they get 10% of stamina back, making whoever paralysed it have to restart This could be a huge torture method but yeah(i totally didnt steal this entire idea from a roblox game)
I feel like mud has a possibility to be similar to drenched blows, as we have it in game said ability Drenched blows is an offensive for aquatics, but with mud coming into the game I believe the effect will be catered more towards land creatures giving them a Defense buff while muddy, now I'm not saying aquatics can't use it but i would think getting back in water will defeat the poupous cause logically it would get washed off.
I think the scope of the abilities are abit more than that was theorized in this video The Poisonous bushed likely would be a less safe alternative to normal bushes but theres a good chance that some creatures can eat this without a downside and maybe some can eat it to recive buffs for abilities or access to abilities an example would be how some bird eat Poisonous insects and use that poison themselves ingame they could have it where when you eat the bush you gain access to an attack that has toxin or it applies toxin to some attacks I also disagree with how you think toxin would work mainly because if its based off the skull icon then how would modders or future dinos be able to scale up or down the ability without having a strange deformed skull? I believe its more likely toxin can slowly chip away hp for extended periods of time while dealing less damage than bleed it last for alot longer Paralyzes likely wont be solely restricted to plants mainly because why would a bush or natural object need to inflict Paralyzes? It wouldnt serve any purpose unless there are natural hazards that the player can interact with (theres a chance since they are reworking the foliage) besides that chance it would make more since to include it onto a creature and i believe it would work as followed When the target is inflected with Paralyzes the target may be unable to move or attack but once immunity has been built up the target is no longer able to be inflicted with Paralyzes for a extended period of time allowing the target to escape or fight back easier Paralyzes has a chance to simply restrict movement for larger creatures rather than outright Paralyzes them that would be a good way of balancing the ability so tiny creatures with it cant harass large carnivores It is good to note that this game is made with the intention of being closer to a rpg survival game or more so towards less realistic more arcady this is evident by what the devs themselves aaid and what they do on official servers so you would have to think about the abilities from an official setting not a community one (they likely have rules that the officials do not) that being said this game allows for communities to balance freash releases of creatures or abilities in their own way so even if the abilities ia intended for the official setting the ability itself can be altered by individual communities (this is brought up mainly due to officials mostly being around carnivores vs herbivores rather than a realistic setting) The mud effect will almoat certainly effect bleed but it can also be a utility item for other future things like the salamander that was recently released when it has mud on it they do not receive alot if any bleed at the cost of drying out quicker other creatures currently in the game can receive a variety of buffs from mud in the future examples being that large creatures are unpounceable while having mud on them and this also applies to future mods where mud can be used as a medium for abilities and attributes Also ant is almost out and the griffin is complete the wyvern tlc is making fast progress and progress on the dragon and trex an spino monster variations have been started
The Paralyzes could work similar to how pounce works where at certain combat weights the ability would have lessened effects this way modders and future dinos can have the ability and be easier to balance out
I feel like paralysis is beeing taken to literally. When i first saw paralysis, i was thinking of it in a more figurative sense rather than literal since i agree, literal paralysis in game would be broken. For example, if paralysis was an attack, i could see this being given to meg, where its prey on occasion would get paralyzed by the pain of vemon entering the blood stream, making meg a pursuit hunter again like how it used to be when vemon drained stamina and forced its prey to stay in place, mimicking paralysis.
Here's to hoping that they'll follow from Creatures of Sonaria's example and make it so that Mud status hides your scent so that the devs can add sniffing to the game
Maybe herbivores will get the toxin effect from certain plants and they will have to eat the mud in order to cure it and/or get temporary immunity to it. Kinda like the trikes in prehistoric planet season 1
1 thing that’s been on my mind on upcoming updates is that they should change the hotspot location , impact crater is getting boring and old . So many beautiful places and people rather chill in a circle that wiped out all the Dino’s 😂
Mud could also fill the gap that slick hide filled, which would be amazing and make it super useful for small and large Dino’s alike. Really anything to avoid having my bebes taken by a hatz or kapro
I’d imagine Megalania could be getting the Toxic or Paralysis effect since their venom is kinda mid right now and is not nearly as impressive as the real animal
I feel like Paralysis is going to be so annoying to deal with. Even if you get immunity to it for a bit after receiving it a stun mechanic of any kind is always ass.

And then with paralysis it could like- be an attack that has a 30-60 second cooldown and the person has the immunity for 25-30 seconds instead that way massive groups cant just have the player paralyzed constantly?
mud is on the official server on the tropical island area! although you can't actually pick it up...
For being wet I think you can just shake to reduce the timer, like real animals when wet, they shake.
similarly to drenched blows being affected by the opponent being wet, there could probably be an ability where you do more damage the more muddy your opponent is, or that idea you talked about with bleeding
That’s what I think!
Yea I saw this on hungdacrazys videos than I knew your gonna make a video on it
Edit: how did you get the screen shots of the status effects?
I was sent them by Doke! Who was one of the original users who found it :)
@@VelocciYT I wonder if they saw any of the animations and stuff for the effects if they have any
Some of my theories:
Mud: Temporary increase stamina and/or health regeneration.
Toxin: Replaced venom and cause vomit if stacked (maybe toxin can be on rotten corpses and certain plants)
Paralysis: Increases cooldown time for certain attacks while in combat.
the pralisis claw is teasing microraptor my dreams come true with my fav dino🎉
and now I am definitly not going to be in IC
Frfr🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️
*gets paralysed in ic*
whole ic: its free real estate
I would assume paralysis will be like, a dino does an attack on other dinos, the paralysis drains stamina, once opponent is out of stamina they are paralysed, they can see everything, they can talk in chat (maybe not) they can ehar everything, and if they are being eaten alive, they lose health and die,and become a new corpse that hasnt been eaten.
Maybe biting the corpse will also take away health fo the paralysed victim
Also they will become unparalysed if the paralysis expires, they arent dead, and they get 10% of stamina back, making whoever paralysed it have to restart
This could be a huge torture method but yeah(i totally didnt steal this entire idea from a roblox game)
I think the scope of the abilities are abit more than that was theorized in this video
The Poisonous bushed likely would be a less safe alternative to normal bushes but theres a good chance that some creatures can eat this without a downside and maybe some can eat it to recive buffs for abilities or access to abilities an example would be how some bird eat Poisonous insects and use that poison themselves ingame they could have it where when you eat the bush you gain access to an attack that has toxin or it applies toxin to some attacks
I also disagree with how you think toxin would work mainly because if its based off the skull icon then how would modders or future dinos be able to scale up or down the ability without having a strange deformed skull? I believe its more likely toxin can slowly chip away hp for extended periods of time while dealing less damage than bleed it last for alot longer
Paralyzes likely wont be solely restricted to plants mainly because why would a bush or natural object need to inflict Paralyzes? It wouldnt serve any purpose unless there are natural hazards that the player can interact with (theres a chance since they are reworking the foliage) besides that chance it would make more since to include it onto a creature and i believe it would work as followed
When the target is inflected with Paralyzes the target may be unable to move or attack but once immunity has been built up the target is no longer able to be inflicted with Paralyzes for a extended period of time allowing the target to escape or fight back easier
Paralyzes has a chance to simply restrict movement for larger creatures rather than outright Paralyzes them that would be a good way of balancing the ability so tiny creatures with it cant harass large carnivores
It is good to note that this game is made with the intention of being closer to a rpg survival game or more so towards less realistic more arcady this is evident by what the devs themselves aaid and what they do on official servers so you would have to think about the abilities from an official setting not a community one (they likely have rules that the officials do not) that being said this game allows for communities to balance freash releases of creatures or abilities in their own way so even if the abilities ia intended for the official setting the ability itself can be altered by individual communities (this is brought up mainly due to officials mostly being around carnivores vs herbivores rather than a realistic setting)
The mud effect will almoat certainly effect bleed but it can also be a utility item for other future things like the salamander that was recently released when it has mud on it they do not receive alot if any bleed at the cost of drying out quicker other creatures currently in the game can receive a variety of buffs from mud in the future examples being that large creatures are unpounceable while having mud on them and this also applies to future mods where mud can be used as a medium for abilities and attributes
Also ant is almost out and the griffin is complete the wyvern tlc is making fast progress and progress on the dragon and trex an spino monster variations have been started
Mud is probably going to slow drain of needing water or used to keep yourself from being pounced.
In the command log it said mud heal rate, maybe mud increases heal rate of health or bleed
Mud could also fill the gap that slick hide filled, which would be amazing and make it super useful for small and large Dino’s alike. Really anything to avoid having my bebes taken by a hatz or kapro
4:30 the human skull icon kinda breaks the dino immersion for me ngl
I think the mud could be something to prevent bleed
Mud could increase trail but reduce bleed
I’d imagine Megalania could be getting the Toxic or Paralysis effect since their venom is kinda mid right now and is not nearly as impressive as the real animal
Maybe instead of bone breaking, when you take a massive fall you get paralyzed instead?
Para from lightning strikes and mud negating it?
I hope mud stops bleed attacks by like 50 or 25%
I feel like Paralysis is going to be so annoying to deal with. Even if you get immunity to it for a bit after receiving it a stun mechanic of any kind is always ass.
I think mud could stop bleed or prevent it completely
mud might just be like the isle and lessens toxin, venom and bleed
they might also buff said effects
I feel like pachy and/or pycno could get the paralysis with a special attack or their charge
its been so much time since ive watched a velocci video, and god does the bri ish accent bring me memories
Does anyone think that something will be for metri??? Lamb got a tlc, and metri, being the other healer, should get one too???
Hear me out, pycno charge causes paralysis because of the shock of the hit
What if paralysis is a hide aplied ability 😮
any Metri w is a BIG W
Mud - building nests
I think the mud well health bleed quickly
Darn no mods released 😢 but cool vid man
Imagine the critters get a paralysis bite
5:01 maybe metri?
Do you have any news on the development of microraptor and miagira?
What ever happened to that Dasp Emote?
4:40 WHAT THE ACTUAL F***!!!
Miragaia getting a toxin ability?
What was that thing in the thumbnail (on the floor)
Havent played since august of last year have they added nesting?
Wonder if there gonna change miragaia for dacentrurus
Dude metri haces toxin
Could mud make u dry out slower?
Bro am I dumb but what has happened to the titanoboa mod ?
What does paralysis does?
great, another ability giving carnivores yet another advantage on everyone. Paralysis is a hard no thank you just like grab/pounce were hard no thank you...
paralysis is a HORRIBLE idea.
Wish that they make iggy better. Really to weak for its size.
That's cause they just nerfed it lmao
Megalania power full?🤣
