This photo shows Bob Cobbing standing at the road side at Cwm Ystwyth, the lost lead mining village high inland from Aberystwyth. We went through here on a sound poetry tour in the early 70s.
I went to Barnfields Secondary Modern School in the early 1960. Bob Cobbing was the art teacher there. I had know idea he was into poetry. I saw no hint of it then. He did give me detention because he caught me smoking a cigarette not far from the school gates. I felt a bit hard done by as it was outside of school and school was finished for the day. Some years later I met him in a pub in Earls Court but he was not at all keen to be reminded of his time as a teacher in a lowly secondary modern.

what's up Steve? He always seemed proud of his work as a teacher.
Remarkable...
New in the scene, not sure if this is an example of a really good guy or the standard level of sound poetry.
