Jake Sullivan, the U.S. National Security Advisor, expressed his view that U.S. aid to Ukraine will allow Ukrainian forces to launch a counteroffensive in 2025. He anticipates further advancements by the Russian army in the coming weeks. I recently found out that their is a husband and wife team from my home state (New Mexico, United States) that has been in Ukraine for more than 780 days. They primarily help with humanitarian supplies, medical supplies but have also helped once or twice with some other supplies. They are not sit in the office types. They are out in the villages where they are needed and when they are needed. 🇺🇸🇺🇦

How many of those Russian "soldiers" in Ukraine are already lying motionless and forgotten on the fields and towns of Ukraine? How many missing in action? We'll never know because Russia doesn't want to know.

Well ukraine have a pretty good idea of the number. Given that they have entire storage buildings and refrigerated traincarts full of them. Ukraine have since the start of the illegal invasion, tried to get Nazi Russia to take back the "cargo 200". But they refuse. So i guess the Nazis would rather let the "Cargo 200" be used as fertilizer. Whitch is inevitible, due that there is only so mutch storage space for it in Ukraine. Sooner or later they will have to start to cremate said Cargo 200, and dump the ashes some where.
(cargo 200 is a term used for fatalities, being transported.)
No body, no proof, no paperwork, no pay for dependants, that's a way to save rubbles.

I saw a "scratch" mark on the wall, so it fell perpendicular to the angle where the detonator would work as designed. That fortunate accident very likely wrecked the detonator - but I wouldn't like to be the one who removes the defunct detonator from the bomb.

Britain the largest manufacturer of gas masks in Europe, possibly the world, are supplying Gas masks, BUT could give a lot more.
It's a maskbreaker, so gas masks are of limited use, it disables the filters relatively quickly compared to others.

Chloropicrin could bypass gas masks and cause sneezing fits, causing soldiers to remove their masks, leaving them exposed to other dangerous and poisonous gases that could be mixed with the chloropicrin. Do the Modern day masks M50 protect against Chloropicrin? As Canada sent in 2022 more than 10,800 pieces of personal protective equipment such as ballistic helmets, night vision wear, gas masks and body armour, totaling more than $15 million. In 2023 Canada donated 2,260 gas masks. If these masks do not protect the military from Chloropicrin, is there a mask that can be produced that does? Can fund raiser be started towards masks to protect against Chloropicrin?

Ukrainian military says. It says at least 500 Ukrainian soldiers have been treated for exposure to toxic substances and one was killed by suffocating on tear gas. In addition to chloropicrin, Russian forces have used grenades loaded with CS and CN gases, the Ukrainian military says.
The US determined that Russia has breached the CWC's prohibition on the use of riot control agents as a method of warfare, the statement said. It said it was sanctioning three Russian state entities linked to Moscow's chemical and biological weapons programs, including a specialized military unit that facilitated the use of chloropicrin against Ukrainian troops. Four Russian companies that support the three entities were also sanctioned, it said.
The sanctions freeze any U.S. assets belonging to the targeted entities and generally prohibit Americans from doing business with them. Separately, the U.S. Treasury imposed sanctions on three entities and two individuals involved in purchasing items for Russian military institutes involved in the country's chemical and biological weapons programs. The sanctions were among new measures announced by the United States on Wednesday targeting Russia over its 2022 full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
The CWC bans the production and use of chemical weapons. It also requires the 193 countries that have ratified the convention, which include Russia and the U.S., to destroy any stocks of banned chemicals. The State Department was expected to convey its determination that Russia has violated the CWC to the OPCW.

I know it all to well., sometimes just going getting out of the house and doing something makes a difference. I’ve been down and out lately, but I got some great news yesterday that lifted my spirits. Survive!!
Thanks Artur - I read a long time ago that exercise, including running, produces endorphins. This gives one a natural high and counters depression. However, some runners get addicted to this and run even with injuries. Slavi Eukraini!
Working out in the gym lifting weights also creates endorphins. I'd go in the gym mad over something and come out feeling happy.
The trouble with depression is that you don't feel like exercising. It's wicked.

I've been surprised that we haven't seen (until now) "fighter" drones designed for air-to-air against enemy drones.
I've seen a film of such a prototype. Ukraine is working on it.
So while early, I would like to remind everyone about a short film called "Slaughterbots". Day by day it feels like more of a prediction rather than a warning.
That is one of the most terrifying short films I have ever seen. It's been on my mind quite often as we have seen the increasing role of drones in this war. I highly recommend checking it out if you haven't already.

But, if you live here, especially russians with family since before fall of Soviet Union with russian and Estonian speaking schools for language lessons and free government funded courses for settlement and integration there’s little excuse other than refusing to learn. The reason why Russia hasn't taken any major cities since the first is because Wagner is gone, the only reason the Russian army got anything is because Wagner won it and Handed it over to the Russian army!

Has to stay still whilst shooting. Takes single shots rather than burst fire. Basically is a sniper drone. I agree it is expensive and vulnerable to video linked, remote controlled kamikaze drones but I'm sure it could be put to good use, not only hunting expensive recon drones but maybe officers too.
