Billy just saved Australia. In every other interview, I've seen Shaq looks so uncomfortable and the hosts have been weird asf.

Billy is someone I respect. Watched him play in Melbourne and he gives it everything he's got.
I'm very glad I got into Rugby League in his final years and got to watch him live a few times, very happy about that. I saw my first NRL match live in 2016, (had no clue what was happening except that I knew we played well) we thumped the Sharks, watched a few games on T.V in 17, including the Grand Final, then was watching nearly every game in 18 onwards, including going to some games that year 1 was the Prelim, again belting the Sharks. I remember trying to focus on 2 things, the game and checking scores for the footy because on the same night the Collingwood vs Richmond Prelim Final was on, such a good night, unfortunately both teams got spoiled the following week. Billy was playing in those games, got to see his final year unfold and man he was a gun.
Another few I got to see were Cooper Cronk and Cameron Smith, although Cronk went to Chooks unfortunately. I did see Greg Inglis play once thankfully, unfortunately it was for the Rabbits, but still former Storm player, we beat them by a point in the QF in 18.
How did channel 9 get one of the greatest talents/athlete in the world onto their show. Oh and shaq

Good on him too , he seems like a very nice man ....but what I'm alluding to is the fact that society puts many professional sports people on a pedestal for their physical prowess and really , pro sport is nothing more than entertainment for the masses , whereas the really importantly skilled people in life are in general passed over until we are in dire need. Fact of life I suppose.

Why does the NRL need to focus on anywhere other than Australia? The AFL is doing just fine here at home and has the 4th highest attendance of any domestic league in the world
Rugby does have a solid niche in American universities. I remember seeing alot of people playing rugby when i was in college in California. But not enough casual people understand how the game is played. They know its tough and physical but they have no idea what the rules are. The most confusing part is when the rugby players all gather in a big scrum. Americans dont understand whats happening in there lol.
