Just saw your Antarctica video and revisit this list. You are knocking most off your bucket list ! ❤
Instead of Bora Bora, I recommend Moorea. It’s closer to Tahiti so it’s easier to get to, overwater bungalows are cheaper and it’s a smaller but still beautiful island!! We loved the Hilton there
I cannot recommend Banff & Lake Louise more, I've been a few years ago and they stole my heart!
I need to go!
We went in January and Lake Louise was a snowy dream! Recommend the Fairmount Chateau Lake Louise, worth every penny!
My top 5 is: Japan, Iceland, all the California national parks, Grand Canyon, South of France
Yosemite National Park is mind blowing! A must go!
Yea Cali is sick.
Antarctica looks amazing! I loved Kara and Nates vlog series from their Antarctic cruise.
I'm literally in Bora Bora right now staying in an overeater bungalow for my honeymoon! IT IS THE BEST THING EVER! We got here yesterday and I literally cried from the beauty. I knew it would be amazing but I didn't realize HOW amazing it would be. Definitely you need to come here with your hubby!
if you go to antelope canyon - it's pretty, but prettier in photos. so if you go, make sure to take the five-minute drive to horseshoe bend - because that is STUNNING.
I live in Finland and I think it’s funny that I don’t know anyone who has been to a glas igloo since it’s really expensive but I would love to do that some Day too. And also the USA road trip sounds amazing 😍
Hi Allison, I'm one of your subscribers from Indonesia. I've subscribed to you for a long time, but I rarely comment. Since you mention Indonesia as one of your bucketlist, I have a few recommendations.
In case you're looking for a more quiet place, you should go to the area around Komodo Island! (since Bali is very crowded) You can observe Komodo dragons, do some trekking, snorkeling, and diving around that area.
And if you like scuba diving, you should go to Raja Ampat; they say it's heaven for divers :)
There’s just so much to see! I think you’re much more into nature than I am. Most of these places are definitely on my bucket list but I’m much more of a city person. I did go to Patagoina at the start of the year and it was breathtaking. I think I’m all about a good mix of city and landscapes
Great list! I am with you on pretty much all of them. So many exciting places to visit
Where do you and your husband plan to take your honeymoon? Bora Bora seems like a dream destination! I'm sure wherever you decide will be fabulous!
We've talked about Bora Bora, but we haven't booked anything yet so we'll see! We are debating doing something shorter vs. extended, and that will decide the destination/region.
If you do ever go on the cross country American road trip I highly suggest you change that route through Michigan! You would be missing all of the best stuff. You need to go all the way up to the UP to see sleeping Bear Dunes, Traverse City, Mackinac Island, Pictured Rocks, and Apostle Islands in WI. The Great Lakes are a must see!
Thank you so much for your videos! They are calming and full of knowledge
Alberta native here! You HAVE TO go to Lake Louise and Banff. Tbh not the biggest fan of Jasper but it's pretty if you've never been. Would highly recommend both a winter and summer trip (as Moraine Lake is closed during the Winter)
We went to the Antelope caves and it was AMAZING! It was part of an excursion which included flying in a small plane over the Grand Canyon then landing inside to go to the caves. Afterwards we took a raft through the Grand Canyon. I totally recommend it 😊!
banff is on my bucket list and am driving up there from kansas city this summer with some friends. greenland is on my bucket list too, i hear the fjords and whale watching is amazing
Loved this video Allison!! I think I'll have to add lots of these to my bucket list too hehe.
I'm with you on the world being your bucket list. There's so much to see and do. I'm going on a road trip next year starting in Michigan out to Denver, up into Rocky Mountain National Park, then driving North through Grand Tetons, Yellowstone, Glacier National, and finally... Banff.
Allison! Your bucket list has inspired me so much! You are such a cool person!
thanks for the great ideas! I've always wanted to travel luxury like that too
Love this video! So inspiring as a follow solo traveler. Kenya is awesome! When you go, I recommend the heading outside of the city to Great Rift Valley to tour the Kiambethu Tea Farm. David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust is a must too! New Zealand and Australia are next on my list. Just booked my flights! I’m hoping to head to Antarctica too, hopefully in 2021/2022 season.
Excellent list! The islands in the Indian Ocean are beautiful! And those over water bungalows/vilas/huts are amazing! Such a unique experience :)
Antarctica has been on my list for AGES. A family friend who is an author stayed at McMurdo base for 6 months while she was writing a novel that took place there and seeing all her photos and such got me hooked! I'd love to go as part of an anthropological team, as there are studies done at McMurdo to see how small groups of humans handle isolation, which could later be applied to things like Mars missions and such. Don't know if I'll get there but it's definitely #1 for me. One place I have been that I'd HIGHLY recommend is the Galapagos. I went in October (not this year, it was a hot minute ago) which is one of the times when babies of every species are wandering around, and it was amazing. No animal is afraid of humans as they've been on protected space for so long, so you have to be careful they don't follow you home! One island was just red sand and that's it, and it felt like being on Mars! I did that in tandem with a trip to the parts of the Amazon tributaries in Ecuador and it was AMAZING. We camped in dense jungle (not for everyone as it was a bit of rough trekking but I loved it) and you'd see all sorts of species (like Capybaras and even a friggin' Jaguar!) and being in truly old growth forest was amazing. Vietnam was another place I criss-crossed down through, but I went with a Vietnamese friend so the language barrier wasn't an issue. It was amazing and I'm sure they do tours through the country there.
The Galapagos look amazing!!!
As dorky as it sounds, I have a "Spreadsheet of Fun" to help keep track of our travel bucket list. Current top 3: Death Valley/Joshua Tree, Alaska, & Ireland/Scotland/UK (that was more than 3...)
i have been LOVING your content lately
Take me to Antarctica with you lol! I’m dying to go. Greece is high on my list. I’m going to 5 new places in 2020 so far... Colorado, Georgia, France, Spain, Italy. Georgia for a weekend wedding.. Colorado solo trip and Spain Italy France on a cruise. Trying to hit all 50 states by the time I’m 50!
Oooh love the 50 states challenge!! Greece and Colorado are on my list too. I really should do a solo trip to Colorado... I saw direct flights to Denver last year for $57 round trip. Should have jumped on it!
As a New Zealander I may be biased, but it truely is a beautiful country! Please come visit!
Banff is amazing in the summer! So beautiful! Best trip I have taken was to south africa/zambia!
I have a friend that works in Antarctica. His pictures are great. Love your list!
You have the BEST travel bucket list ever!
Went to Banff last year and just got back from New Zealand 2 weeks ago. Amazing places. For my bucket list, I think I've seen a lot I can't even think of where to go next now lol
My parents went on a motorcycle trip to Banff and loved it! My husband works for Boeing and a lot of their clients are Middle Eastern airlines and part of his job is seeing what kind of materials they want to use inside the plane and if they are compliant with the codes for flammability according to the FAA and he always gets a bit of a chuckle cause the customers sometimes have some RITZY things picked out and he gets to be like "yeaaah sorry that isn't going to work". He's said it's pretty crazy the amount of money that goes into making those planes with the fancy suites! It would be really cool to see one and fly that way
Thank you Allison for interesting stories fantastic photos 🌺
Fun video! Lots of these are on my bucket list too, would love to do the gokyo lake trek in Nepal, I’ve heard the views of Everest are stunning, I know it would require a lot of physical training so maybe some day. Hope you have a video about
Your Oman trip coming, that’s somewhere that’s been on my list for a while so I’m very curious about your experience.
I’m in Rovaniemi, Lapland in Finland now for 4 months for my Erasmus exchange and the best months to come here are in September and October. Because in September you’ll see the Northern Lights way more often and in October the first snow will fall and Northern lights are still visible, but better more north (snow is 10cm right now). The igloos are crazy expensive though so I would honestly just stay in the hostel and hire a car to see northern lights or join one of the excursions. Because you’ll also have to take into account the cloud coverage (the less the better and always watch north) and not only the KP, a good app is MyAuroraApp.
should visit a place called "lights over Lapland" in abisko sweden-its a photography course on photographing norther lights, and we went out in forest clearing 4 nights and saw amazing norther lights each night!! so worth all the crazy travel to get there! my bucket list was to do a world cruise which i did jan-april 3010-120 days that was so amazing!! glad i did it then before pandemic!! did it solo, and met so many wonderful people!
That color sweater looks awesome on you!
Most of these places are in my list as well.Plus, I'd love to visit Machu Pichu, in Peru and Capadocia in Turkey, and ALL Italy lol. And one place I've been twice and would love to go back EVERY SINGLE YEAR is Banff. Highly recommend going after sunrise on Lake Moraine, hiking near Lake Louise for a better view and a helicopter tour from Canmore to Banff.
If you go to Alberta, Canada for that trip, make sure you go to Lake Morraine - it was my favourite part of that trip! So beautiful.
This is a great list. Would also love a video about your sticker business - how you started it, built it, etc.
All 50 states.I've hit over 20-yes a way to go!
I'm taking a solo trip to Colombia in February! Spending 4 days in Bogota, 6 days in Medellin, and 6 days in Cartagena. It's my first international solo trip, and I'm super excited.
please do more of these!!
My bucket list is practically the same as yours!!! Lol! And I totally agree with you about a cross-country road trip across the USA!
I just finished my bucket list!! I love that this video showed up on my feed 💕🙌🏼☺️
Go you!! What was your favorite place?
Allison Anderson Sorry I meant I finished writing my list, but I will be crossing off the bean in Chicago this month 🙌🏼
Antarctica is #1 on my travel bucket list too!
I would love to visit Scotland and England one day! That is at the top of my bucket list. I live in Canada and have been to Banff/Lake Louise a few times and its breathtaking. Definitely see that! I've also been to Indonesia and Thailand and I liked the islands and country of Thailand better.
You can visit a glass igloo hotel in Fairbanks, Alaska too. The one in Fairbanks offers lots of winter activities like dog sled rides. (And may be easier to get to since it's a part of the United States.)
When you visit Antelope Canyon also hit up Horseshoe Bend. Incredible view!
This was such a fun video!! You should do this every year because it’s cool to see what is out there that we might not know about!! I’m getting married near Banff/Jasper and we are honeymooning in New Zealand, so hopefully you make it there before we do so we can see all your travel tips!!
I was just in Banff last year! I’m a huge hiker/camper and Banff was just beautiful. I’ve never seen lake water so blue in my life. Moraine lake, which is the one in a lot of photos is kinda hard to get to since it’s only one road in/out and they close the entrance constantly due to capacity. Definitely visit during July/August as the water only looks like that when the snow has melted. I’ll be in New Zealand at the end of the month and I couldn’t be more excited to visit Milford Sound (8th wonder of the world)!
I'm getting my teacher education in New Zealand starting January and I could not be more excited!!
Wow!! And that will be summer there too, how cool!
Number1 on my bucket list is Japan really really recommend Shibuya
Top on my trip bucket list is Lapland to see the northern lights!! So so nice! Also, Jordan, I’m really fascinated by that country, Australia & New Zealand, really want to go, and Japan!! Japan I’m going next year if all goes well, can’t wait! 😍 hopefully I also visit Philippines and Nepal soon! I’m a mountain lover so honestly any destination with mountains and snow is somewhere I want to go! Canada’s lakes look amazing and I would really love to go!
when you go to banff, please visit jasper as well. and do the drive through icefields parkway
The igloo hotel look so cool!
You just added places to my list!!
I have been to Africa and it's amazing. Same for Costa Rica. And Nepal is definitely on my list. Panama has overwater huts too and easy flight from Seattle ☺️
I think it would be really cool for you to do a video on the ins and outs of travel vlogging!
Yes you should visit Indonesia. But not only Bali but also Sumba island, Flores island and Yogyakarta in Central Java.
I’ve road tripped the US. DC->San Fran
I have 7 states left to visit. There are so many cool things in the US!
Add Costa Rica, it’s gorgeous.
I really think my bucket list never ends !!!!!
same here! more i see, the more there is i realize i want to see!!
Banff & Lake Louise are absolutely stunning :)
Would love to see your packing techniques and how you pack for international Vs more local! Carry on and suitcase!
Giraffe Manor has been my #1 dream for over 10 years!!
Banff is definitely on my list, I'd also like to see the Northern lights in some spot, those igloos look neat! For an experience I want to go to Mexico for the Monarch butterfly migration (also aligns with the Day of the Dead)
Antarctica is definitely on mine, well most of your list looks a lot like mine. I'm really excited to be checking off one that's been on my list since I was 15 next year, South Africa!
That is a great wish list. I like to go to Everest base camp at least. I love to go to Antarctica too but that is a wild ride and pretty pricey in those cruises !
Hi Allison! I've been watching you since you were living in cali. It's been so awesome watching you through your twenties. I'm in my late twenties now too. I know that you've become a minimalist. And I am dying to know what you keep in your closet. What are your closet essentials?
yes to all the places on your list!! i dream to also see antartica and patagonia.
Antarctica is at the top of my bucket list and always has been!! I've looked into it, considered trying to get into grad studies that would take me there, no matter what I need to make it happen sooner rather than later
There are lots of beautiful places in Canada, but I grew up in the Rockies, and they are spectacular.
My bucket list for travel or just life in general is endless... but Giraffe Manor is also on my list!
I've done Banff and Lake Louise. You need to do the 7 Glaciers Trail, and you also need to include Yoho National Park.
My travel bucket list is way too long, but some of the stuff on there include Iceland, Scotland+Orkney, the Azores, Bolivia+Ecuador, France (Normandy and Brittany), a northern/scandinavian cruise (I've been to Finland and Sweden, but not Norway or Denmark), and DEFINITELY also that North American roadtrip! We can also now add Antarctica to the list, I was a huge fan of Whale Wars, and it does look beautiful down there! I'm guessing lots of whale watching to be done, which is one of my favorite things to do! Someday I also want to go on a storm chasing expedition! I'm fascinated by nature's wrath, seeing a tornado would be a MAJOR bucket list score! I've only ever seen a gustnado, and it was such an amazing moment, on the same day that I crossed that "see the Pacific ocean" huge bucket list item, too! An unforgettable day! lol
Ohhh great ideas! My top destinations are Morocco and a gorilla trekking trip. I think next year I’m going to take a road trip from Seattle and go to Glacier National Park and Banff! :)
I would really love to go to Iceland. Next year I’ll probably do an interrail through France. The Trans-Siberian Railway is also on my list.
Hi! I'm a viewer from Argentina, you should definitely go to Patagonia is so beautiful and there are so many places to go
I'd love to know your current travel makeup routine. Since going minimalist, do you find that you've cut down your makeup routine and use/buy the same products, or do you still try out new stuff? :D
-Road trip thru the New England States
-2 weeks alone in DC
-Stockholm to visit the Vasa Museum (seriously, look up the vasa ship...such a cool/unique story).
-Lake Bled, Slovania
-Italy
-Greece
-New Zealand
-Ireland
I too plan on taking a DC solo trip! I really want to try to make it before Christmas so I can see the National Christmas Tree.
Antelope Canyon is amazing. I went a few years ago.
Such a great list! I made a list of just the places in the USA and it's so long. 😅
New Zealand is beautiful as is Canada, Banff NP and Lake Louise especially. Norway is also beautiful. My next destination of choice is New England and Cape Cod.
I’m actually planning on heading to Banff and Jasper as well !!
I’m thinking 🤔 of going either late July or August which is the high season for Alberta !!
Antarctica and Bora Bora are on my bucket list too
Where is your sweater from?!! I love it!!
Our travel bucket list is pretty much very similar! Except I live in Alberta and Banff is basically my backyard haha.
Great list! I can tell you that antelope canyon is super crowded, it was kind of annoying trying to get a good shot with people rushing you along. All the visitors even looked grumpy lol It is very cool to visit though, just make sure your expectations are realistic 👌🏼
You should do Patagonia and Antarctica together, because you’re already going to the bottom of South America. Most people I know who’ve done this trip do both together. Banff + Jasper are amazing! Patagonia is a similar vibe I think you should look into Patagonia
good travel ideas.
Such a fun video! When you said you had to cut yourself off or you would just keep going I was like yess please do! The world really is a bucket list in general but I loved hearing your list such amazing places to still explore even though your well traveled.
I hope you get a sponsor of some sort for the luxury airplane or really any of these trips I'll support that lol
To see the northen lighter you should travel north of norway 💚. The best place to see it. I live south. But i traveled all the way up to see it. Best aroubd winter time!
number one on mine is japan! also want to visit most of europe!
New Zealand should be #1! It also feels like a different planet. It’s incredible!
You should definitely visit New Zealand!
Very exotic places Alison, breath taking. Now are these solo travels or with husband?
