4.02 that fugue is magnificent
I've never heard this Op. 3 concerto performed better. Just about perfect. The conductor and the musicians are sincere and dedicated.

Clare, Cambridge has been a choral reference for many years. Homogenity and beautiful consonant/vowel balance. The choristers LISTEN to each other.
Unfortunately they are not often called upon to sing semiquavers.
Indescribably beautiful. Handel moves the heart quite like no other.
How wonderful to live in a time I can listen to this heavenly music, composed centuries ago, at a moments whim. Makes me feel like a time lord. The people who created this whole thing are like gods, starting with Handel.

I think the conductors daughter is sitting behind the left shoulder of the principal violin. I adore the way they smile at each other. This is among my top ten UA-cam videos. The oboe player makes me cry. As Western Civilization is attacked and destroyed on many fronts, please remember it with this playing in the background.

Europe seems quite taken with these antique musical instruments. Here,the musicians are VERY good. There are so many factors - the acoustics of the site,time and intensity of rehearsal,technical quality of the recording and transmission,etc. The performance shown here is first-class. But,just speaking for myself,I prefer the sound-quality of modern musical instruments - for impact,for precision,for purity. That's why modern instruments were developed over the centuries and that's why modern instruments have superseded their earlier counterparts.
You are right in one aspect, -volume. But sound quality was lost when violins were altered to be heard in the new huge concert halls.
And the Drums and Trumpets. O well. Quod nulla possit esse controversia circa gustum.
Continue to listen to classicle musik do not forget that Claudio Arau come from Chile

Ez aztán ÉLMÉNY!!! Minden szempontból a maximumot nyújtják. Kimunkált, érett a zenekar, a szólisták és a kórus. (Tán mosolyogtató, de nekem még az is imponált, ahogyan, alapossággal hangoltak a 2 műsorszám között...) Gyönyörű a felvétel tisztasága is.
Milyen nagyszerű dolog, ha valaki 3 esztendő multával rátalál egy szerény megjegyzésre, és plus 1-et jelez rá... Íme; a technika, és a szellem világának korrelációja! -Ma is megvan nekem ez a felvétel, és többször meghallgatom. Véleményem semmit nem változott, ez örök értékű alkotás, a zeneművészet egyik csúcsa, és az előadó művészek méltók voltak a szerzőhöz. A hangmérnökök/technikusok úgyszintén tudásuk legjavát adták a felemelő élményhez. Legyen hát ismételt köszönetem mindnyájuk felé!

What a beautiful concerto ! So melodious ! And,all those instrumentalists are just so very,very skillful and masterful ! I see those antique instruments are employed by some. In Europe,there seems to be quite a "fad" for antique musical instruments.

I've NEVER seen such an extended midconcert orchestral tuning.
Period instruments go out of tune rather quickly. The gut strings are particularly unstable, and must be retuned often. It's worth it for such glorious sounds.

This choir has nice soundings sopran and tenor . Fresh voices. Bass is a bit light as usual with young singers.
No soy experta , pero la soprano para mi oído, no fue la mejor opción, El tenor excelente, pero como que le falto brillo, alcance vocal. La orquesta es hermosa y el coro divino, solo esa critica.
Con respecto a mi comentario anterior,nombro a la primer soprano que canto, la segunda divina, y el bajo muy bueno. Además de muy lindo!
