I would like to say in response to the closing comment about the fish in the tank... the communication between us and God would be our Lord, Jesus. He is the Word.

Great interview! I wish Eric would talk less, allowing more expression from the physicist.

Very fascinating conversation, enjoyed very much.I would have had very similar questions that Eric posed...but was turned of when Ard stated that the bacterial flagellum formed due to evolution.that being said I find this Evolutionary Christian philosophy very tricky and dangerous.A liberal progressive approach to creation that could be very harmful and confusing to those in their Christian walk.Another pion that Eric made was that all of creation changed after the sin of man not just humanity.Ard disagreed with that and said nohere in the bible does it state that clearly.
    Genesis 3:17
    Then
to Adam He said, "Because you have listened to the voice of your wife,
and have eaten from the tree about which I commanded you, saying, 'You
shall not eat from it'; Cursed is the ground because of you; In toil you
will eat of it All the days of your life.
Even as far back as 4,500 years ago in Chinese text you have 婪 meaning bad or wrongful desire the two top are the characters for tree the bottom the Chinese character for woman. tree+tree+woman-bad or wrongful desire.
Pretty much sums up the tree of knowledge and tree of life and eve.

If he doesn't believe in the Authority of the Bible, 1. Why call yourself a christian ? 2. Why claim to believe in God ? 3. Why undermine God's Authority as written in Scripture by ignoring the advice of Apostles regarding who God is, and who we are as opposed to who we are in Christ Jesus? Love God with your whole being, Love your neighbor as yourself, believe in the resurrection, believe in the coming judgement and believe in Flood!

He is speaking to a secular community. Think about the alternative! (That is, nobody speaking to this “secular /scientistic” community about God).

Listening is crucial, but learning begins with great questions. A difficult balance to be sure.
