I have to say while the shooting is amazing, the best part of this series is Jerry going through the history and explaining each firearm fully before shooting. Keep shooting Jerry!
Great review by the master. I've owned over a dozen 1911s over the past 45 years and used several as carry guns in spite of their size and weight. Now I carry a 9mm Shield with Apex flat faced trigger, green CT laser and big dots, but I still keep a S&W 1911sc as a vehicle gun and a Kimber for home gun. Nothing like a 1911 trigger!
Same here. Trying to decide if I'm going to stick with the HK45C as a backup or go with a wheelgun or a smaller 1911 as backup. Cannot recommend the HK45c enough for a similar-to-1911 experience with optional DA/SA or LEM-trigger function, though....That said nothing I've shot so far has beaten my SIG 1911 that I customized a bit, obviously there are better out there but for me personally, within my budget, it was the best. What's your 1911 of choice?
Mr. Miculek - please don’t regurgitate what some S&W publicist wrote without checking it. Browning Hi-Powers also had internal extractors until 1962 or thereabouts. My 1944 Inglis Hi-Power has an internal extractor. That is how the pistol was designed, just like the 1911. I have the utmost respect for you and your incredible combination of talent, skills, and work ethic. I have watched hours and hours of video from both you and Lena, and this is the only time time I’ve heard something that is not factually correct.
According to the ATF, they allow exactly 2 non-transferable full-auto adapters in the US that work for every model of pistol and revolver in existence. Jerry has both of them: one for each hand.
+Gutter Guy lol he shot a 1000 yard target from low ready with barrett m107 in 2.01 SECONDS. You would be very very very lucky to have 1/100th of his skill.
@@MFinGonzo You will have be rich to train as much as Miculek does, unless you have a sponsor. Even a .22 rimfire would get expensive. Nothing wrong with trying, though!
Ting, Ting, Ting. I love hearing those shots hit target. Every time I think my skills are getting better I come across a real pro like this and realize I got allot to learn. Much respect sir.
You compare material to a specific type of gun. That does not make any sense. www.personaldefenseworld.com/2015/10/gun-review-eaa-witness-1911-polymer/ LMFAO
You’re the best, sir! When I was in the Marine Corps we all thought 1911s weren’t very accurate. Obviously the pistols we had weren’t designed to be super accurate. My dad carried one in Germany and Korea. I don’t think he ever shot anyone with his but he always liked 1911s.
The .22 TCM is NOT based on the 9X19 Parabellum case. The parent case is the 5.56X45 NATO shortened to 26 mm length (1.022 in). The overall cartridge length is approximately the same as a loaded .38 Super and the Rock Island.22 TCM uses .38 Super magazines.
I love old G.I. Colt's and US&S guns. They may not be match grade guns. BUT they have so much history to tell. GOD bless John M. Browning and Colt M co. This video is very well done! Thank you.
I think I've found a new hobby, thanks Jerry... I'm in the UK so I can't actually engage in the shooting process, but i'm enjoying learning about the history and details of these guns, thanks!
Great job at being great. My wife and I enjoy this, new to us sport, shooting competition. Watch everybody's advice and smooth trigger it. Jerry you rock
Ran the guantlet from the M9 in the service to G19, HK MK23, HK45c (my favorite compact thus far), M&P Shield 9mm (backup, or a wheelgun, chiappa white rhino 20ds-30ds or Smith and Wesson snub /w hammer), anyway, after a fairly good experience with a Kimber (as problem-free as any other semi-auto I've ever owned or operated with), Springfield Operator, and a few others I settled on the somewhat controversial SIG SAUER 1911. Absolutely love it, full-sized Scorpion which is my current carry with an HK P30SK 9mm DA/SA as a backup. I feel supremely confident with this combo or a good .357 wheelgun as backup
Great video as always Jerry. Kings Mills is not far from where I live I have driven past the factory many times. It isn't a cartrige factory anymore. Used to set empty but now they are doing some work on it,
I have the utmost respect for you Jerry, i love my 1911, i hope to get many more. Thank you for validating what i had always felt, that 1911's are excellent guns, well depending on who made it.
Mr. Miculek, I enjoy your channel very much. You are one of 3 people I have great respect for. The others are Scott Reitz owner of ITTS Gun Fighting School in Los Angeles / recently retired after 30 years LAPD SWAT Commander and real world Firearms and tactics instructor. My instructor. And Lt. Greg Yucubian LAPD firearms instructor, my firearms instructor.
I once had a license to shoot..about 18 years ago... here in Aus our laws are very strict..didn't submit enough targets each year due to all kinds of stuff... so my license was revoked... fair enough...never owned a gun though.... used to cherish my range time with the Stainless .45 1911 Club pistol... used to shoot 200+ rounds at a time on the range... nothing like Jerry though... 7 rounds at a time... just enjoying putting holes in paper at 25 metres.... Loved that thing....wonderful, simple and very reliable handgun..... Jerry... you are above next level!!! That trigger finger should be on the WMD watchlist!!! lol.. Excellent groupings at rapid fire too!! yikes!!!
I have always been a polymer gun fan but I've recently been interested in the 1911 after seeing this video I'm definitely going to get one soon thanks!
Absolutely. What they lack in velocity they make up in surface area, so the energy is transferred faster. A bullet has a certain amount of ft/lbs of energy on contact. Once the bullet starts to penetrate, some of the energy is bled off in the form of penetration. If you have a wide mouth hollow-point of a semi-wad cutter or something, the energy will be dumped faster. At least, thats the way I see it. It's still going fast enough to expand, so yes, they are very valuable.
My go-to pistol will Always be my SPRINGFIELD ARMORY 1911 OPERATOR. Always. I LOVE that sidearm. Next would have to be my GLOCK 17. another Awesome sidearm.
Jerry, I love watching your videos! But I will say, after watching you shoot at the Surefire Texas Multigun, I enjoy watching a live-performance even more!
Indeed. We could use quite a few more principled folks who understand the value of freedom and personal responsibility. Hope we both can get our countries back on track.
I agree. The only 1911 had a single stack magazine and that is the way they should be. I am very traditional, so others have their views, but this is mine.
I like mine, my 1911 is a bit different being a dark earth tan and g-10 grips with the flared mag well, it's different and I guess I just take to those things most people I know operate with Glocks, I go HK, most people with wheelguns use Ruger or Smith, I go Chiappa, lol. Beretta M9 and SIG P226 remain my two favorite DA/SA pistols except for HK, though I prefer HK's LEM trigger so...to each their own, right? That said I prefer a GI-length guide rod on mine and it has a 17 lb wilson combat flat recoil spring but I might put in a 22 lb regular old Colt spring.
I have to say while the shooting is amazing, the best part of this series is Jerry going through the history and explaining each firearm fully before shooting. Keep shooting Jerry!
so you want to shoot fast huh. love that part
Great review by the master. I've owned over a dozen 1911s over the past 45 years and used several as carry guns in spite of their size and weight. This man has more lethal power ability than a whole platoon!!!
This is hands down my favorite video. 1911 are my bread and butter. Here's hoping for that contest.
Awesome! Being a 1911 guy I really liked this vid. Jerry always seems to be having such a great time,
who better to Tell you about a 1911 than The Champ!
Jerry Miculek working the action of a gun displays the same fluidity of motion as a piano virtuoso doing a scale.
.45 1911 is my favorite handgun
Same here. Trying to decide if I'm going to stick with the HK45C as a backup or go with a wheelgun or a smaller 1911 as backup. What's your 1911 of choice?
Handled a Wilson Combat 1911 the other day, and boy I can see why it cost so much.
High end 1911's are the best pistols in the world imo.
JUKEBOXX1990 It's almost shocking how noticeable the difference in quality is.
That is not a humble opinion. That is a cocky opinion.
Robert Watson sadly misinformed.
General rule for 1911s. The more over 1500, the less reliable they are
Check out the TRIARC 2011 double stack 9mm
Im so glad he changed the camera angle to show how he shoots that fast!!!
This man can shoot lol
The first 27 round mag 9mm dump looked like a full-auto job?
Thats his trigger finger !!!
Agree. Simple test, load a 10 round MAG and engage five randomly placed targets (two rounds each). See how well that goes.
Darn good shooting

For all us 1911 .45 acp lovers.
.41 AE? LOL not many people remember that one. Knowing Jerry he probably has an original 941.
Love the variety of options and calibers... great platform!
According to the ATF, they allow exactly 2 non-transferable full-auto adapters in the US that work for every model of pistol and revolver in existence. Jerry has both of them: one for each hand.
Jerry 'the human machine gun' Miculek 🔫👍
Wish i had 1/100th of Jerry's skill
+Gutter Guy lol he shot a 1000 yard target from low ready with barrett m107 in 2.01 SECONDS. You would be very very very lucky to have 1/100th of his skill.
Dont wish, train
@@MFinGonzo You will have be rich to train as much as Miculek does, unless you have a sponsor.
Even a .22 rimfire would get expensive.
Nothing wrong with trying, though!
Buy a metric shit ton of ammo!
Ting, Ting, Ting. I love hearing those shots hit target. Every time I think my skills are getting better I come across a real pro like this and realize I got allot to learn. Much respect sir.
I look forward to these vids more than anything on tv! Thanks Jerry!
1911's RULE.......Plastic might be fantastic...but steel is real!!!
You'd better believe it! Polymer pistols are the Hondas and Toyotas, but the 1911 is the Ferrari.
Not even close to the truth. ;) Drinking a beer is better than shooting a deer. :D
You compare material to a specific type of gun. That does not make any sense.
www.personaldefenseworld.com/2015/10/gun-review-eaa-witness-1911-polymer/ LMFAO
Glock 19 forever, trust me us millennials know everything.....
It depends entirely on what you shoot best and what you intend to do with the handgun.
It's a great pleasure to listen to you, Sir and it's a blast to watch you shoot!
It's the man behind the gun that makes it run!!
I love Jerry's smile.
.22 TCM which is the 9x19 necked down to 0.22" so it's also centerfire and was introduced in Rock Island Armory's 1911 platform.
22:02, does he have a permit for that finger?
LOL
LOL
enticed2zeitgeist he has a tax stamp
I bet you if he ever goes to a liberal state they will cut off his trigger finger...
He is the living proof to snowflakes that we don’t need bump stocks. Lol
Great teacher and a quality man. Very humble!!!
I love old G.I. Colt's and US&S guns. They may not be match grade guns. BUT they have so much history to tell. GOD bless John M. Browning and Colt M co.
This video is very well done! Thank you.
What a great channel - thanks for making these videos available!
this man is a Legend
This is insane... Not only fast bu sick groupings as well
A 1911 is my favorite handgun to shoot. It is just nice to hold, nice to shoot and feels powerful in your hands
I watch every one of his videos and every time I am dumbfounded and amazed.
I think I've found a new hobby, thanks Jerry... I'm in the UK so I can't actually engage in the shooting process, but i'm enjoying learning about the history and details of these guns, thanks!
This is one of my favorite videos Jerry. Thanks!
Sure shoots faster than I can count! This guy is phenomenal!
...he is UPSET with those times toward the end using two 1911s???!!! LMAO
This is hanfs down one of my fav videos, love the 1911 platform
Ive been wanting a 1911 and i believe you clarified some things for me thanks for this
Not human.. lol this man never ceases to amaze me!
Great job at being great. My wife and I enjoy this, new to us sport, shooting competition. Watch everybody's advice and smooth trigger it. Jerry you rock

You guys are welcome to come over. We are a little short of freedom lovers at the moment and would welcome you with open arms.
what an amazing experienced review. Nobody out there better suited for this.

When the lord calls you back your hands should be in a musuem. You are the man
Great video as always Jerry. Kings Mills is not far from where I live I have driven past the factory many times. It isn't a cartrige factory anymore. Used to set empty but now they are doing some work on it,
old Peters ammo! love it, got a few boxes around here as well! love old ammo
Best gun bloger ever!! Love it
Best videos on UA-cam, great job Mr.Miculek.
I have the utmost respect for you Jerry, i love my 1911, i hope to get many more. Thank you for validating what i had always felt, that 1911's are excellent guns, well depending on who made it.
Good ammo and good clips and they all run good now. Cnc machines have changed the standards for the better.
One word, phenomenal!
My two favorite lines were,
"We seem to be stuck here!"
"Wow, What a good way to waste ammo!"
Mr. Miculek, I enjoy your channel very much. You are one of 3 people I have great respect for. Im a 1911 fan so yea you made me love it more then i did

Respect x 10! This is some of the most impressive shooting I've ever seen.
S&W is a great 1911, I LOVE LOVE LOVE my Kimber Series I Classic Custom.
Jim Clark... yes, I used one of his long slides in the early 70's, 25 yd pistol team.
Much respect to you sir!
I have always been a polymer gun fan but I've recently been interested in the 1911 after seeing this video I'm definitely going to get one soon thanks!
I like the Rock Island Armory 1911 TCM series with the 22TCM bullets.
Absolutely. What they lack in velocity they make up in surface area, so the energy is transferred faster. A bullet has a certain amount of ft/lbs of energy on contact. Thank you for everything you've done through the Second Amendment this country and for shooting best wishes to the family your friend Andrew Victor
Because he sold the design to the Colt Firearms Company. He also sold many designs to Winchester and a bunch to FNH.
Jerry you are the best of the best!!!
you are my hero!! and maybe my dad. i have been blessed with the fast finger myself.
I used to use the same technique when i played xbox. Glad to see it is a valid tactic
dont forget the Coonan.357 magnum and the .50 GI! Great video Jerry, keep them coming!
Hey Jerry, got to watch my first thrre gun in West Virginia, not sure what the standings were at the end but enjoyed watching you guys shoot.
Love this knowledge. Thank you sir!
Very cool history lesson.
You the man Jerry
Great video! Thank you for putting it together.
Imagine cops can shoot like this, that will be kinda scary. But I do enjoy these speed shooting vids, full of spirit!
Well it'd be a welcome change, from them missing and hitting innocents (like in the states)
Don't worry citizen! I am from the government and I'm here to help you! To death....
Wolfstanus Lol
Coos have bad aim from knee-jerk reaction....
Jerry, my old CMP 1911 has a Remington Rand slide. The slide has a hardened steel insert where the firing pin is.
This guy is amazing.
Thanks Jerry! I just saw this video and enjoyed it! I could only hope to be like you someday....Keep up the good work!
Awesome video! Sure enjoyed the history of the 1911. Dang, I am impressed on fast you can shoot a 1911. You make some great videos .
Jerry, you're DA MAN! Another great vid!
Thanks for the video JM much enjoyed..
My go-to pistol will Always be my SPRINGFIELD ARMORY 1911 OPERATOR. Always. I LOVE that sidearm. Next would have to be my GLOCK 17. another Awesome sidearm.
U are the man.
Very very informative. Thank you. Now when ppl ask me about 1911's I will refer them to this video
Love your videos Jerry! Thanks for sharing.
A true Statesman of the American shooting sport. A southern Gentleman .
Thank you !!!
Unreal! Great shooting and interesting to listen to. Thanks for the upload
i understand the purpose of flared mag wells, but its soooo ugly on such a beautiful weapon

Who needs automatic fire with Jerry around??
For a pistol, this is an education!(Best design, and best shooter).
