Young's best track of the two HR films he scored, which is saying quite something. Transcendant music, this track builds and builds to something quite awesome, in the truest sense of the word!

@@thatonea-hole Elfman did do a majority of the soundtrack. Christopher Young was brought in to add additional music cues after a disagreement between Raimi and Elfman. That's why Young was brought back for 3. He did the music for the first fusion reaction scene and the elevated train sequence. Elfman's original score for the train fight was included on the CD release of the score album as a "bonus track." I love the part in this movie where Julia and Christy meet again and she say's "Ok Princess, I'm not your wicked Stepmother anymore". Then she slaps her back handed and knocks Christy across the room and says "I'm The Queen!"
No doubt, Chris Young is a talented composer, probably a genius, and I've loved his work for many years. I must say though, that the first half of this track is very much inspired by Jerry Goldsmith's Poltergeist score. No complaints there as I love the music of both. :-) Who better for a genius to be inspired by than the master genius Jerry Goldsmith.
I have a detailed, ornate Lament Configuration, sitting on my shelf. You'd be amazed how many people recognise it as they come into my flat - but literally no one will go anywhere near it! LOL!
The fourth one was definitely when the franchise started going down the drain. How about summoning the Cenobites with a remote-controlled robot? Whatever happened to, "It is not hands that call us, it is...desire." When a fantasy/ horror series of movies starts breaking its own rules, that's when the producers need to freaking pack it in, already.
I see those differently actually. The girl solving the box and summoning the Cenobites- the others were ready to do her in (they way they looked), until Pinhead intervened. He knew Channard and Julia were there. As far as Bloodline and using the robot, I mean, the robot did blow up, so he kinda did his regular thing, knowing the robot was a surrogate. Bloodline gets a lot of hate and I understand it (I won't ever try to convince someone to like it). The theatrical Hellraiser movies are all good to me. It was after Bloodline, where it fell off. I know folks liked Hellseeker, with Kirsty returing, but that wasn't enough for me.

Some people believe Danny Elfman plagiarized Christopher Young to some degree. Danny Elfman and Sam Raimi even had a falling out on Spider-Man 2 because Raimi wanted a track to sound like this very piece of music from Hellraiser 2 and Elfman said “if you want Christopher Young music, then get Christopher Young”.
@wandererlain Yeah. Elfman wrote a score for those scenes (and the train sequence), but Raimi kept telling him he wanted a score that sounded like this part, basically trying to get him to plagiarize this, and Elfman said no, he wouldn't do that. Got to the point where Danny just said "You want music that sounds like Chris Young? Then go hire f**cking Chris Young!"

The greatest horror franchise and you can’t change my mind
