Basics of Drawing: Using the Grid Method, Part 1

This demonstrates how to use a grid and a 1:2 ratio to measure and draw contour lines from a photo. This flattens the image and breaks it down into small parts, allowing the brain to more easily see and compare where lines and shapes really are in relation to one another. In the next video, I will demonstrate how to measure and transfer the contour lines.
