Hypothetically for someone starting off with not a lot of money it would make more sense to just hold with the top 3 since they will go up anyway?

When you say profit are you referring to USD profits? Because couldn't you supplement your strategy with day trading crypto for crypto profits..and not focusing on USD profits now

Think you forgot to mention that to get to that 3million mark, you will be trading your full account on every single trade. End of year one every trade will be 30k+ and your last trade to get to 3million, will be something like $2.7million.

Maybe it's a stupid question, but what do you mean with using 10% of your portfolio for daytrading? Let's say for example you have a 1000 dollars in your portfolio and you put like 30% in each of the big coins. So 90% of your portfolio consists of BTC, ETH, and LTC. Then the remaining 10% of your portfolio is divided over for example 5 smaller coins. Would that be a normal diversification of your portfolio? And then do you just use 100 dollars (10%) a day of your portfolio for trading?

The bottom line is simple set your targets, keep check on new updates and developments on companies your invested in maybe weekly or monthly and just HODL until your rich.... allocate 10-15% of your portfolio to trade and have fun along the way and lastly and most importantly is patience, good things take time. $BTC $ETC $NEO $ICON $EOS $IOTA unless the whole market collapses $25k investment on these coins in 3 years i predict will make you 750k - $1m
Alex, great video. Thkx very much.Specially for a newbie like me. Whats your thoughtof having 70 % of portfolio in mid cap ? Out of that , 40% in the coins which passive income. Coins like Neo, Omisego etc. 10% in small cap giving passive i come like Rialto and rest 10% in large cap

Initially you said you only trade with a few percent of your trading account but this analysis is based on going all in with 100% of your 10k trading account if I understand correctly? Also by my calculation after a year you would actually have $34522. Sounds enticing for sure.
Michael Dodds maybe 10k is only a few % of his trading acc?
He didn't make it totally clear till the end, but he is talking about keeping 90% separate in other big coins. So he is painting the unlikely picture of someone staking $10 000 every month for years and getting 10% profit every time compounding and stating that it will compound to become millions, which is just some basic maths, but worth seeing. What is interesting is that a few mistakes have a very large effect on the outcome and he made that point well. Compared to people chasing lambos through Verge or whatever FOTM coin is out there, it's a good point to make.

if you don't rebalance at all and make decent trades like that every month, you're going to get into the same problem you're trying to avoid. i.e. your trading account balance is going to eclipse you're long term investments account
Do you own that Nate Silver book ironically? If not, it doesn't necessarily reflect well on your ability to judge...
Hey Alex, What exchanges do you recommend using? I have Coinbase now but I want exposure to the altcoins. I can't find a good exchange for me, I live in the US. Most ask for ID, SSN, Address, and etc. I don't feel comfortable releasing that information.
i believe exchanges are required to collect that by law, just as if you were to open a traditional brokerage account
