Hello out there,I got your point talking about the education background as a back up. If you did other science such as management...how do you rate yourself in to that?
I hope it's ok that I point this out, but different industries require different kinds of sales engineers. In the mechanical, civil, industrial world, a Sales Engineer is a pure sales person. They have to find the opportunity, and then close the deal. In the tech, IT, and internet networking/security world, a Sales Engineer works with a pure sales person to address a customer's business problem through technology. The questions and answers here seem to be geared towards Sales Engineers in the Mechanical or Civil world. Great questions, great way to answer them, but these are not what is asked in interviews for the second type of Sales Engineers
Yeah I got a bit confused as this is not what I was lead to believe what sales engineers are. Or at least the questions didn't seem to fit what notions I had about the role.
