Very descent review! The assumption however, is that for 50-60 euros, you have a very value for money product. Actually I don't see a lot of difference compared to my 10 year Epson that cost me back then 800+ euros
So, for something that I will not care to use it with children or to carry it with me somewhere, without concern that I break it/lost it, it's perfect!
It is really absurd to request an accurate brightness or colour accuracy at this price tag!

if you havent checked entire video dont forget to look for focuse of this projector I dont recommend this but I bought one myself with a custom purpose for kids before sleep.it is not usable for daily cinema setup in my opinion

I have a little question, my budget is quite limited and I don't see many options of second handed projector for the same range of price in my country. I also reviewed S30 max in the channel you can check that too.if you value your eyes as 50$ than you can but I believe health is the most important thing. Most of us spend more money to cellphones and computers than projector has to have atleast 100$ above prive for decent quality I dont recomment under 100-120$ products wait a while and gather your money if you value your eyes

I was considering buying a cheap screen, but based on this video, I'll save up for a intermediate-level screen with a positive gain. Primero vi esta revision desde un proyector lg😅 y lo que veia no se condecia con la opinion del autor asi que me arriesgue y compre mi primer hy300 para darme una opinión propia , lo estoy ocupando en un tamaño de 60 pulgadas y si pones atencion se ven ligeramente las lineas fresnel y tambien las esquinas desenfocadas tambien el audio es barato ,con todos esos contras sigue siendo bueno para mi ,el brillo sin una luz que de directo en la pantalla que se proyecta sigue siendo bastante aceptable, yo lo proyecto en una pared que esta pintada de un color beige y se ve muy bien , obviamente no al nivel de un tv pero si me deja conforme . son unos miseros 40 dolares lo que me costo ,incluso adquiri una funda vendida para el freestyle de Samsung que al final tuve que adaptar porque este es un poco mas grande, el costo se me elevo a 56 dólares😅 pero sigue siendo barato, ya compre mi segunda unidad , si quiere tomarse una cerveza con amigos por la tarde y que sea diferente puede proyectar una buena película en la pared por 40 dólares ,respeto la opinion del autor ,yo lo compre y no me molesta a los ojos ,usted mo me haga caso a mi ,si le sobran 40 dolares cree su propia opinión, pero le anticipo que no se arrepentiran😊

@@homecinematech el proyector principal de casa es un LG beam pa1000 , este aparato lo compré porque me llamo la atención lo barato y tambien las buenas calificaciones de los compradores de mi país, todos mis compatriotas en Aliexpress le calificaron con 5 estrellas y se que no son comentarios fakes porque mis compatriotas siempre usan palabras de jerga chilena o usan códigos sarcásticos y de humor que solo nosotros entendemos , eso me dió la confianza para comprar ,yo ya se que no es un proyector de excelencia pero si cumple su trabajo con dignidad , yo ya lo llevo usando más de un mes todas las noches casi 8 horas diarias ininterrumpidas XD y aún no falla ,yo trabajo dentro de una oficina de noche porque soy guardia nocturno , y esto me mantiene atento ,lo proyecto en un espacio de pared despejado donde alcanza justo las 60 pulgadas, es una delicia pasar de una pantalla de notebook a esto, también le agregué un juego de parlantes de PC de 10 dólares con subwoofer discreto y agudos limpios, ahora me da gusto ir a trabajar xd, mi dinero es mi dinero ,en LATAM no se gana mucho como en usa por lo que 40 dólares sigue siendo buen dinero aquí , eso te alcanza para la compra de la semana en un supermercado o también para un proyector chino xd , yo creo que su opinión es muy estricta en este caso, si en realidad fuera así yo tampoco dejaría a los niños algo que desprecio 😊

I had LG HF60LS 1080P Projector and used it arround a year for daily but i did not realized how bad sharpness or image quality until I brought to office to project excel file and it was awful for its price . Es solo de 1080p x 800p por eso quizás yo no noto tanta bajada de calidad con respecto a este aparato chino que en el papel dice ser 720p las 60 pulgadas las logro casi a un metro y medio y yo con respecto a la pared proyectada estoy casi a los dos metros , quizás influya el que solo proyecte una pantalla de 60 y no me vuelva loco proyectando 80 o 100 pulgadas que ahí si irían mal con la luminosidad del chino ,espero que mi segunda adquisición no me decepcione, este no lo a hecho🤞

I got one for my kid and a friend, and they love it .
You can get into the settings to increase the brightness by going to settings and go into info and hit the middle button 10 times and then go into settings and you have a lot more options.
The only thing I don't like is it has no filler to stop dust from getting inside.

I am thinking of buying this for my bedroom and displaying it at like 65" format. Will be using it purely for occasions and occasional sporting games. Will it be determintal for my eyes? I see you commented about it being bad for your eyes which worries me a bit, but I won't be using it daily and won't be using it above 65" size. Maybe only be using it in large format once every 2 years when world/euro Cup of Football is on.

Probably the best HY300 projector review. I have it and I totally agree with every aspect that you mention. In addition to those, I experience vertical lines and significant discolouration of image in videos on Disney+, HBO and Plex. Strangely, the issue is not that apparent on videos on UA-cam. Do you have any idea what is that issue?
Discolouration is probably because of quality check problem I thing in this level of production they qc pass is easy for lot of defects or no qc check at all 😊 could be panel inside problem mostly if you can talk theoug aliexpress to get your money back that could be your best option

Sharpness is not suited for presentations it is nowhere near enough sharpness for excel files but if you want it you can cast to it
Hello, I'm searching for small, cheap projector only for displaying white text in the middle of the screen. Do you think, that with this projector there will be a rectangle of light visible, when i send black video input with white text in the middle?
I know that in LCD projectors black color is not "lights off", but do you think that the edges of the projected area will be visible?
My guess is, that if the screen is blurry on edges - so will be the light "produced" by black color, so it won't be noticable - which is perfect for me - but I'm a rookie in this topic so I wanted to ask you about that :)
This is not a powerful projector if you are thinking this in pitch black darkest room than you can but there will be light glow arround corrners contrast is not best part of these cheap projectors but you can do what you describe. But if you are planing like film covered glass of a shop windows no dont work because of lack of light power

Hi,love the detailed info on the unit,and the mention of the security👌i think some have already used there google accounts but great steps in that,i have hy300 great little unit and yes the remote problem i find it works fine only when your directly behind the unit not sure what distance it will still work at?but my issue is it has a usb input which i thought it would play media,i have used this with a usb formatted to exfat and fat32 with media content mp4 and mkv,but it doesnt read the usb?maybe i thought it would be the preinstalled file manager,so i downloaded a playstore one,which still doesnt read?have you had this problem?or have you tried?cheers

Great video. Unfortunately i can not use the projector for now because i can not connect to my wifi because some characters like?, *, &,! are not working. Even when i add a usb keyboard i am not able to enter those characters. Do you have any idea what i can do? Maybe copy paste the password using other device or what i can do within projector itself

However in this video I can say I experienced myself a bit of eye strain, especially when you have zoomed on the out of focus text, so my eyes already know is bad for them. Hi there, I bought this projector for occasional large screen use. But if you shake it it sounds like something is loose. Will this be specific to my unit or does yours also have a shaky or rattling sound on the focus ring.

These projectors are very cheap and inside lens focus rings are bad quality plastic not like outside so I would not be shocked of any loose issue but mine did not have such problem. I wear glasses with blue light protection, would I be free of this problem? I only use this projector 2 hours a day for watching movies and playing video games.

Blue light protection glasses is not effect on this topic .This is edge sharpness problem and it will effect for long time use. if you use something like this cheap hy300 it will effect sooner if you use epson optoma wanbo viewsonic xgimi projector with good lenses they will create sharp images.

Hi if you have the budget look for Wanbo T2Max or T4 models sharpnes and quality is very good and sizes are similar but arround 120$ range depending on region you purchase . I am not saying higher priced small projectors with battery to you because they are starting from 250$ range. this projector is not powerfull and not sharp so if you plan to project on mostly dark paper covered walls of hotels or ceilings you can use it but visual sharpness problem will create problems over long time use screnarios. Fine review, but expecting pro quality from such cheap devices is kind of missing the point of why these cheap devices exist.

Beats my (3x the price) old projector in every way except for audio, although that was a budget one as well. Audio is no issue, just add separate audio set.

This depends on your budget if you can find electricity and no need of batter than you can use Wanbo T2Max or X2 max , Havit Pj209 or cou can look for Blitzwolf models depending on budget but if you need internal battery You should look for Anker Capsule 2 , Aaxa P7 (I reviewed) and aome other alternatives but ones with batterry will be expensive 399$ range... it is up to your budget

I conect USB with videos and images and he does not read. I tried in variious formats of files and nfts pen, exfat, fat 32. Nothing. There is an HDMI input but not USB why? I dont get it

Hello Mate, I purchased a HY300 mini projector and i am facing difficulty with my virtual keyboard. It types most letters however certain characters like (question mark, exclamation mark) aren't getting typed. Major concerning being its part of my university Wifi and they wont change it. Can you tell me whether its only my device issue or it happens to everyone? also whether i could fix it? i tried factory reset just to be sure but hasnt helped

if your phone supports type c to hdmı output or called mhl than you can connect with cable without any delay with higher resolution and bitrate you need to seatch for samsung...... model supports mhl or hdmı you need to try and find it

Unfortunately, recently projectors with e.g. 600 Ansi are shown by sellers as 9000 lumens, and recently someone gave 12,000 lumens, so the sellers, in order not to be lower, increased it to 19,000 lumens. Unfortunately, this has nothing to do with the truth and I'm wondering how to show customers that lumens are marketing numbers that have nothing to do with reality.

I had LASIK so the dimmer the better honestly! I am always putting my 60" flatscreen on the dimmest setting that I customized myself for when my eyeballs are super tired end of the day and I just can't look at a device barley but I am trying to stay up a little longer so I don't wake up too early.

It’s 720p. You’re testing it with 4K HDR footage. Of course it’s not going to keep up or be sharp enough. It’s $60. It’s not for a home theater setup and won’t t cause any more eye strain than a CRT.
