Wife bought me this for xmas and i was very impressed with the quality from this projector in a fully dark room . I would say that the speaker is rubbish as you would expect so ul definitely want to connect a Bluetooth speaker or soundbar to it .
How can I connect the projector to the bluetooth speaker?
@@najiboi592pit your BT speaker to pairing mode, go to the Bluetooth settings and it will show up in the list, just select it and connect it, that's it.

Just bought one of these for 50 quid. I don't have high expectations really, obviously i know it's just one of those Chinese things that everywhere online sells. I only bought it as a temporary thing after breaking up with my gf and having to sell my house and temporarily move into my parents spare bedroom. Obviously along with the transition, i had to sell my 75" tv as there was no way of getting it upstairs. So it's basically just a device instead of a TV for the time being, instead of having to always use my laptop or phone. I didn't even look at any reviews before buying it, but after watching your video, i'm actually fairly surprised at the quality of it. Cheers for the review.

I have installed mupen64 on it but I cant get it to see any ROM's
is there a developer option for storage setting that might help?
also I installed retroarch plus from the built in android TV play store and tried to run n64 games from there and it does se the roms and I can play them but the frame rate is very choppy, but I saw a reddit post that said they had n64 working good on this machine but the problem I am having is that when I try to set retroarch plus to vulkan and restart the app to apply changes all I get is a black screen and i have to delete app data for it to work again.
anyone here have this and got n64 emulation working smooth on it or have go a version of retroarch that will work with vulkan?
I suspect that n54 would be worked smooth if I could use vulkan which this projector says it supports
I own it and i must say, for this price it's a dam good projector.. The most impressive thing is that all the streaming apps are the leanback versions. Also there are a few systems updates right now. Other brands sholud take this as a example how to care about their devices.
It's not a device for a great home cinema that should be clear, but it's perfect for bedroom, hobby room, kids room or camping (with a ac/dc battery pack)
Yes, the picture quality isn't on the level of the original Samsung but it's still good enough for watching series and UA-cam. For 60 bucks you got a lot of projector, one of the best Price performance ratio I've ever seen.

Bro, this device is about 60 bucks... Even it will get in flames when you get the 50000 hours, it was still worth it.
But, no I can't say what's happening after this. But even when you no turn it of you can watch 5,7 years

@@smurfik302 hey Kevin, the cable is around two meters. In this case you can't replace it with another ac/dc cable, cause the the plug have to be a angle plug. Otherwise you cannot project straight to the ceiling. The space on the bottom of the projector is really small. Also when you use a hdmi device you need a flexible extension one or also a hdmi angle plug.
Hope you understand what I meaning, my English isn't that good.

Got this today, the brightness is a bot low and there is no adjustment for that. It's a good value for money though. Don't expect too much. Night shots in a movie are difficult to watch on this. Will give it a 5/10

You can reach Brightness and Contrast settings, when you go to About Device, click two times in the black square. Then the Advanced Settings will be available.

this projector have hidden settings menu ,for set brigtness, contrast, etc and sound .To unlock hidden menu, must click on menu about device, after this click twice on black field, then setup mode is turned on, and show in menu.

I got one, works well. Gives a big screen, but keep in mind the sides of the screen are not super sharp. In a dark room the 200 ansi lumens is good enough

If it's a big issue you can get the newer HY320 which has shorter throw and more brightness than the HY300, at the cost of some extra size and weight.

I got mine yesterday. Didn't think it would except 60hz. Connected my gaming computer on it. Plays in 4k 60fps no problem.

Only issue with this projector for me is the throw distance and I don’t think isn’t going to be short enough - I was hoping for an 80inch or above screen size with 2.2 metres away from screen as I only have a tiny room - do you think it might be capable of this by any chance ?

The settings are pretty useless, there is not much you can do, hence price.

I bought one, and yes - it does. UA-cam app works perfectly and can stream from plex to it too. It’s a great product.

I also wear prescription glasses btw, and yeah for films and relaxing I much prefer the dark, but reading etc it’s much better on a lighter room, my eyes and head don’t start to hurt after like 4/5 hours there.
I got this projector and have 2 4k TVs in the house. I can honestly say, if I got the projector first. There would be no 4k TV in the house. $50 vs High Prices TV. Obviously it would be a no brainer just to cheap out on the projector. This is my honest opinion. It's only missing HDR. But like I said, if the projector was gotten first. I wouldn't bother getting a TV.

Yes. Just tilt your phone screen while you’re sharing it. If it’s an iPhone, remove it from portrait then tilt the phone

hi! Thanks for the review. I've manually corrected the keystone, and it is just fine, but when I watch a video I can see the image fitting the manual keystone correction, but a shadow on the edges of the frame, like some space is left to fit (although my frame is rectangular, this shadow has a weird shape). Any idea on what that could be? It does not affect the videos I play, but it's still annoying! Cheers!
What you are seeing is the true outline of the projection at an angle. Keystone cropping cuts into this reducing resolution..all projectors do this.. ideally your projector should be parallel to your screen face. 👍

you could use it outdoors with an extension cord it does not have an internal battery only works with power outlet

Technically yes, but you would need some sort of conversion box that converts VGA signal to HDMI signal (probably costs more than this projector)
Or you can copy your shows onto USB stick and plug it into projector, that solution should work well.
