I live North of Toronto, I have a 100 km commute every day one way, I use bus, rail and Ghost. My car stays parked now, I save thousands every 6 months. I ride the Ghost in all weather including minus 20 with Ice and Snow (studded knobby tires) this machine is a powerful well built tank. It changed my life.
@@motosnav339 I keep my pressure at 52 psi, so no flats in the last year, if you change the tires from the shitty stock tires to a much more substantial rubber, that and the high pressure you will have zero issues with flats. Also with the split rim design, changing a flat is very very easy.
@@ledzepandhabs thank you for are the great information! I’m still new to these scooters. I’ll definitely pick up some new tires and spare tubes! I’ll need to change the tires and tubes a few times and I’m sure I’ll be a pro at it

@@ledzepandhabs Hey guys, just ordered my Apollo Ghost the other day & I wonder if I should order the 'winter' tires or if you'd suggest a different set. I'd like to be prepared for flats. It'll be most bumpy tarmac & gravel I'm on. I'm 195lbs. I've never ridden one of these but I know I need one. I didn't get the hydraulic brakes. I guess I can upgrade if I need them. I'm gonna get a better headlight & want to set up a 'dash' cam. Basically, I'm in the market for accessories. I'll order stuff from the Apollo site too, but if you think I should order replacement tires/tubes right away, I'll take your advice. Eastern Canada (Nova Scotia, PEI, NB) will be my general region. Thanks guys!
Apollo scooters always look awesome and seem to be really great in every way - and then they inevitably get annihilated in the comment section of videos. Lol. Especially when it comes to customer service. But it looks like you’re having fun and there are no negative comments here so far…Lol
So far I haven’t had a bad experience, but yes, they do get demolished in the comments lol. So far Ive had a ton of fun and it’s all been positive…..fingers crossed!
Be careful about that front tire spinning with that torque power, that’s how you wear out the tire tread and eventually the ride will lose its traction. Spoken from experience.
I have this same scooter, i have never been in gear 3 cause in gear 2 i was passing cars. I pretty much just ride in gear 1 with turbo and both motors cause thats fast enough for me and i got it mostly for the hill climbing and it has not disappointed. I have not found a hill in my city yet that i could not go up with ease. Only time i ever use eco mode is if my battery is low.
If I was going to ride in the rain more, I would do some more water proofing on my end. Lots of videos out there how to do it. I cleaned it was just a little bit of warm soapy water, a bucket and rag. No need to drench it with a hose
@@motosnav339 thanks, this guy is selling me one that he got in April 2021 and said it was a 1000 watt , then I reviewed and read the new ones are 1000 and first model which is in 21 is 800, he's selling for $900 with 130 miles on it, I see the news ones are $1500, is it worth buying the used one? Thanks again for any reply
theres a way to increase accelerating on the ghost without actually opening it up. also i managed to hit 36-37 on it im wondering why it only went to 32 for you
Hey Adam, thank you so much for the comments and feedback. I think I was only able to hit 32 based on the cold temperatures I was riding in. Over the summer in warmer months I was able to get better performance and hit that 35-37mph.
@@motosnav339 2 is weaker. 1-5 lowest to strongest. I don’t find much dif between 2 or 3 tho. A lot of ppl don’t like using any e braking, but I don’t like changing my brake pads every month so bring on the e abs/regen lol
Does anyone know the rough cost of getting it fixed? I crashed on that scooter. The charging ports are broke and the speed meter is hanging off but still works lol. The scooter has a little battery left it’s just about rideable.
Hey Lzinooo, I think your best bet is to contact Apollo support. I hope to never crash, but when I do I will have to contact Apollo and get a pets list to repair the scooter. Let me know how it goes and sorry for your crash!
Nice 👍 I just got the Apollo Phantom and I love it. I started uploading videos with it as well. Nice share

That’s fantastic to hear! I seriously can’t wait to commute on mine. I am concerned about flat tires but maybe that won’t be an issue!

This scooter definitely does not disappoint. It has tons of power on tap. I’m still looking for a hill it can’t climb as well!
Sick vid bro! Super informative and looks fun!
These scooters are a blast! Can’t wait to rip around the city on these things!

It’s got some torque for sure!

How does it do in the rain? I want it but the ip56 water rating is a little concerning. How do you clean it?
Thanks

Have you been commuting with it? Any problems with water?
Not yet, just waiting for the weather to get a bit better. Will provide and update once I start commuting. Thanks for watching!
I am still making decision between city pro and ghost, if I am going to get the ghost, regular break or hydraulic disc break?
I opted for hydraulic disc. If you can afford It I don’t see why not. This scooter is pretty fast and the extra breaking power is really nice.
