  • In this video, I discuss some of my biggest takeaways from buying property in Japan. I discuss when is the best time to buy Property in Japan the costs of buying property in Japan and the best place to find Properties for sale in Japan and much more.
    Living and working in the mountains has been a big passion of mine for the last 15 years. After spending the 2010 winter season in Japan it planted a seed that I really wanted to spend more time in Japan chasing the amazing snow and after working a few seasons over there we took the plunge and brought a little ski lodge in Myoko in 2018.
    It's not all just shredding deep pow every day there have definitely been some challenges along the way, but for us, it has been one of the best moves we have ever made.

    One thing I forget to mention is getting finance in Japan to buy property is very challenging, I'm not saying it can't be done but it is a lot easier if you are a cash buyer or you have organized finance in your home country.
    Hope you enjoyed the video team, if you got some value please drop us a like and consider subscribing if you are new here.

    Thanks a ton for the information, while it is easy to find information on renting as a long-term stay foreigner I was having a super hard time finding information for buying a vacation home for the 90 day tourist visa. Very useful useful information.

    Wow another really informative video mate. Im blown away by the difference in prices away from Niseko, when I was working there the property management company also had a real estate company (west canada homes) and I just assumed that the prices would be similar in other nearby ski towns. Just seen a B&B with house for sale in Myoko and its peanuts in comparison! Hope you're well, loving the container!

      Hey bro thanks for the comment, it's crazy how cheap property is once you get away from Niseko and Hakuba. It just blows me away, I don't know many places in the world you can buy property so cheap close to great skiing.

    Thank you for the video. I’m thinking of investing in a Japanese property to rent out but I hear so much negative reviews about it. I’m still on the fence. I really want to but I don’t want to risk it. Do you think it’s worth it?

    • @Neil.Denize
      @Neil.Denize  Рік тому

      Hi Jules, cheers glad you enjoyed the video. We are currently back in Japan at the moment renovating a lodge. I'm a little bias but I think it's a great move investing in Property in Japan, for us it's more of a lifestyle move aswell not just an investment and we run our business from the lodges we own and operate.
      There are alot of things to consider though before jumping into something, where abouts in Japan are you thinking of investing in? What are the main points from the negative reviews? I may be able to shed some more light on those.
