I'm always surprised by the stupid things people value or compare in games. Dark Souls is "open world" and NPCs have a backstory. WOW THAT CHANGES SO MUCH THE FACT THAT THE WAY YOU ATTACK, ROLL, DRINK POTIONS AND ALL THE BASIC MOVEMENTS IN THE GAME FEEL EXACTLY LIKE DARK SOULS WAS BORN FIRST AS A MONSTER HUNTER-LIKE AND THEN THEY STARTED ADDING STUFF HERE AND THERE UNTIL IT BECAME AN "RPG"
Monster Hunter is a game where you can be destroyed by monsters with friends and gripe about bad hitboxes together. Dark Souls is a game about unending torture in every way possible. it boils down to, do you prefer to suffer with friends or alone?
@@VFryt I dont think you played monster hunter endgame.... MHW iceborne fatalis is harder than any DS boss its brutal MH mid game is a lot easier and more chill than souls like but the end game... oh dear god its so painful and i LOVE IT edit: also the footage here is rise which is like x2 easier than world until you reach the end game then it is x1.25 easier than world
@@ahmadbugshan9603 It's difficult but I don't think its about suffering. Suffering is a thematic choice by the art director. Monster Hunter remains a relatively light hearted experience throughout the entire game. Dark Souls is about a broken world Monster Hunter is like a shounen Anime
@@dragonandavatarfan8865 whoops my bad, didn't explain it well. The aspect of starting from zero and working your way up through the ranks is prevalent in almost any action game or show. But they would often include some dark themes here and there. MH does not have those dark themes or is lackluster in that aspect, thus making it a relatively light-hearted game despite being difficult. Games like dark souls on the other hand have it. Combined with the difficulty of the game, it allows the player to feel like they themselves are in a chaotic world full of despair. Hence, the term "suffering" was used a crap ton of times amongst gamers. But back when dark souls didn't exist, the word "suffering" was never used in conjunction with MH games. It's either rage inducing or something you show-off with pride, but never about suffering. Again, I apologize for the previous message. My mistake.
Literally comparing a pilgrimage to a hunting trip.

I regognize this helmet
It's Bondrewd's Helmet from Made in Abyss
Talks about Dark Souls but doesn't show a single Dark Souls clip
Bullshit Slave Knight Gael IS the final boss of Dark Souls 3. But yeah most of the clips are from Elden Ring so.....
Elden Ring is Dark Souls
@@brojakmate9872 Not at all, believe me, the differences are clear mostly since one of them is an open world

its annoying when games that feature stamina, difficult bosses are instantly compared to DS.
Even goddamn Sifu,a fucking Kung Fu game is compared to DS
