My second stop was in Roing located in Eastern Arunachal Pradesh, to spend several days with the Idu Mishmi. To say that my stay with different Idu Mishmi tribal families has been incredibly wonderful is such an understatement. This trip has humbled me in so many different ways, it’s a life-long experience. Not only was I well taken care of during my sickness but I also stayed with them, slept where they slept, ate what they ate, danced w/ them, trekked with them, went fishing, shared laughter & jokes despite language barriers & shared stories over a cup of tea sitting by the center fireplace. These things I experienced wouldn't be possible without their outstanding kindness and openness to an outsider like me.

ABOUT ME:
In 2013, I started my solo travel journey, leaving Indonesia in 2016 to become a full-time traveler and UA-cam creator. My background in International Relations has fueled a profound interest in exploring different countries. My content focuses on exploring different cultures through the lens of a solo female traveler, aiming to capture real-life interactions and experiences.
My travels kicked off with a five-month trip across Asia, after which I moved to China in January 2017 to work as an English teacher-my first time living abroad. I left China in 2018 to fully commit to creating videos on UA-cam, where I share my travels and the cultures I encounter.
Living nomadically since 2016, I settled in England in early 2022 after marrying my British husband, David. Now based in the UK, I continue to travel and share my adventures on UA-cam.
To say that my stay with different Idu Mishmi tribal families has been incredibly wonderful is such an understatement. This trip has humbled me in so many different ways, it’s a life-long experience. Not only was I well taken care of during my sickness but I also stayed with them, slept where they sleep, ate what they ate, danced w/ them, trekked w/ them, went fishing, shared laughter & jokes despite language barriers & shared stories over a cup of tea sitting by the center fireplace. These things I experienced wouldn't be possible without their outstanding kindness and openness to an outsider like me.
.
Spending time with Idu Mishmi tribal people has taught me a strong sense of community. I learn & witness life in its purest form. Yet, I also see the harsh reality of what modernization can do to many tribal cultures. Migrating to bigger cities, younger generations can barely speak the small language of Idu & since it has no written literature, the language can soon disappear.
.
Traveling in this region often won't give the comfort levels of things you usually take for granted, comfy beds & toilets, proper road, electricity, mobile signals, shops, etc. Despite all this, I experienced pure kindness all the way through. Traveling alone to these villages, among these strangers has given me proof & reminders of how much kindness there is in the world. It's easy to sit & consume information online believing how awful things in the world are. We fear what we don't know, step away & out into the world. You will be reminded there is still goodness out there.
Do you have any plan to visit Rajasthan?? I will host you😊 love from Jaipur, Rajasthan 😊😊

Oh yes, I really like this approach, If the editing is hard work, let me tell you it 's definitely worth it. The transition from being a travel vlogger to being a documentary maker is really progressing in this series about A.P. Well done, great filming, narrating and editing work. A real joy to watch, and very informative.
Again, A+ work. 🙏♥️🙏
Thank you Luc.. Your comment motivates me to keep going. Thank you, I appreciate it!
@@SyifaAdriana I will donate soon I know how hard a creator lives when especially you dont get the full rewards from it, as being a creator myself I know how that feels.
Nani(the old lady) gave u the pure rice beer... It was a gesture of affection for you.... Lucky you!!
Northeast India is a land of indigenous tribe ...
Yes, indeed. Thanks for watching.
@@SyifaAdriana North east indian people are of mongoloid ancestors, closer to chinese race, therefore the land was once link to ancient China, these people are humble and less arrogant, Thanks to Syifa for your wonderful presentation and you are brave and attractive woman, appreciate, Travel Safe,God Bless
@@peterhuang3393 can i know your facebook account?
Arunachal people have totally surrendered their land to the indians without even firing a bullet
@Tanmoy Podder there are lots of fake accounts anyway. Leave it.
A word for the viewers
You can find no technology no science no capitalism
But here in our northeast you'll definitely find the loyal humble and honest people.
I luv my N.E
When the tribal ladies told you that you look like a tribal girl, they were telling you the truth. You do look like a young indigenous tribal lady from one of our North eastern states of India...
Yes you are right
I thought she were from Northeast India
Thank you for the wonderpiece.

This not vlog , this is Documentry level work. Very informative.
Thank you Sandeep. I intend to create semi documentary when visiting Arunachal Pradesh
Wow, this really is a very nice video. No, actually not just nice, but very good! The filming, the editting, the choice of music... it all fits perfectly together and makes this is NGC worthy, honestly. You can be proud of what you have achieved.
Hope all is fine. Please stay safe and healthy!🙏🏻
Marc, thank you so much for your kind support and appreciative comment. It truly means a lot! Always glad to read your appreciative comment
Thank you for another great documentary vlog...I was wondering how you would pull this off despite being ill but the explorer in you conquered all. It takes a lot of grit, determination, perseverance, courage, endurance, patience in isolation and what not and you proved you're tough but with a soft touch. Your filming is crisp and clear...and drone footage... wow!! This type of work requires one to be embedded with the local tribes, and despite language barriers you were accepted, blended in well and you've been able to tell us a story of how life is lived in tribal AP. Thoroughly enjoyable vlog! Your vlogging style transitioned into documentary style which we realise was very hard work but your delivery made it look effortless. The tribal song tune by the women was quite catchy. Great work ...Way to go Syifa!
Thank you so much Terence. Good to see you again! I agree this series has been personally challenging by just how much time and energy I am invested in.. Thank you so so much for your kind appreciation, it means a lot!
Beautiful footage ,very nicely edited together, with just the right amount of commentary. Thank you for sharing. Really appreciate all your hard work to make the videos happen. Matt
I happen to find you randomly and boom my tribes name on it, couldn't stop myself. I feel nostalgic.
Once again Syifa, I admire your guts to go alone to these villages in Arunachal,Pradesh and make videos for us to enjoy. Please accept my sincere thanks for putting up such hard work. I'm sorry you were ill. Please take care of yourself particularly when are choosing the type of food you eat and the place where you eat.Nonetheless, congrats for another beautiful video.😍💜❤💙.
Thank you so much for the time, effort and hardwork in putting up this video. Thank you also for the narration on idu culture, language and tradition.
PS: I always make sure not to skip ads in your videos. That is the least i could do to help you in your journey.😊
Love and well wishes from Roing.
Thank you so much Andezo.. I am so glad that you can see the hard work. Thank you for not skipping the ads, it helps us, creator, to sustain ourselvers. I am glad you enjoy this video, I appreciate it very much :) Can't wait to return to Roing one day..

Stay safe young lady in these troubled times! Claude
Awesome documentation of the culture and daily lifestyle of the people. For a minute there, I thought I was watching National Geographic or the Travel Channel. Shows how much hard work you put in this. Keep up the good work.
Nhon, thank you so much for your kind support and appreciative comment. It truly means a lot!
Thank you so much for visiting my state Arunachal Pradesh which is one of the state of India where very less visitors come...
Thank you so much once again for making videos for the rest of the world to see my remote state.
We are rich in culture and pure & loving by heart in nature.
You expose us to the world, we are very grateful.
I wish you visited my Nyishi tribe villages but still I am contented.
Nice documentary Syifa..it helps us a lot in knowing the known and unknown tribes of India through you.
Very strong and impressive pictures and a wonderful inside view into people's lifes. Very nice that you give the information readings in between and present background information. I appreciate that very much. It sure is a lot of work. Thumbs up and thank you for giving us all the chance to see these things. All the best to you! PS: I absolutely agree with Luc Leoni: Very qualitative pictures and a well done editing. An all around good series. The song thats played during they fish is that a recording of the women singing? Beautiful music.
CG I have read two of your comments on different videos. Your engaging and thoughtful comments are equal to highest form of appreciation to my work. Thank you! Keep them coming

It was an excellent presentation. More like a documentary film. Wow❗
As a language enthusiast, I find tonal language speakers in South Asia to be fascinating. Terutama karena di kita kan nggak ada ya. And how lovely was the song at the end? Hope the local government as well as the one across the border take preservation of their language seriously. Thank you for sharing your experience with the Idu Mishmi people!
Ari, thank you so much for your kind support and appreciative comment. It truly means a lot!
Do visit the upper reaches of dibang, here u,ll get a greater picture and understanding of the tribe. As far as language is concerned, yes it's true that people, especially the younger generation speaks less of their dailects. But tremendous efforts are being undertaken to preserve it. Thanks for visiting, di visit again. This areas need more exposure.
