Lion At Sunrise

This big old male Lion had a quick stop at the waterhole close to where he managed to find a big Buffalo bull that died of natural circumstances.
Water was close and the carcass lasted for several days so it was a every morning thing seeing him at the water or if not at least then in the afternoon.
Lions can feed for a long time on big kills, especially if its Buffalo or Giraffe, and especially if the pride is not that big.
At the time most of the females were still in hiding with their newly born cubs and the male Lion had for a few days had the carcass all to himself.
