My step son literally just walked into the house from camping with his friend last night. He had a metal coffee pot that he sit on the stove I merely smelled “something“ and asked him what was that and it was Pineneedle tea so of course I get on UA-cam. Look it up and I find this video just mind blowing! Thanks for sharing.

Just got back from foraging gingko leaves for a tincture. I had a procedure on a brain tumor 4 years ago (wish I didn’t have it done). Have been battling memory issues for 4 years now. Still have that tumor and have recently had pressure there so something is going on. Just found some white pines near me so heading out to forage some pine needles. Also growing turmeric again since that is one of 2 things that helped keep me from needing another procedure (open brain recommended that time) 6 months after the 1st. I hope you both know how much you are changing lives. God Bless you both.

Pine needle tea also contains high levels of Vitamin A, which is good for your eyesight, improves hair and skin regeneration and improves red blood cell production. It can be used as an expectorant for coughs and to help relieve chest congestion; it is also good for sore throats

I couldn't believe it when I saw this video, as I was just thinking last week I needed to know how to make Pine needle tea!! And I didn't know some were poisonous! Apparently this tea was one of the survival foods used in Bosnia after the collapse there, and that's in modern times, so it's a really really important survival food! I'm surprised more people haven't watched your video. (Naomi Shubert)

I have an Amish friend who's daughter had some illness I don't remember what it's been like four years, but she called me to help her because I do natural stuff and my children and I went out to our woods and pick a bag of pine needles to take to her. It really is wonderful!

This is something I've always wanted to try. My weakness is identifying one from the other. I've gotten several books on identifying wild edibles but the pictures are NEVER very good. Usually pencil type drawings. I need to find someone in my area that can show me. I'm a very visual learner (duh I'm watching UA-cam, right? lol) and having someone physically show me is so much easier for me. One time is generally all it takes. Anyway, TFS. You guys are awesome. Love and hugs, Lisa

I brought a small pot of water to a boil and turned the burner off. Threw in my cut pine needles, some mint, lemon balm, ginger, and lemon. After steeping I poured it through a strainer into our cups and added honey. Delicious! Hmmm, I think there might be one more cup in that pot! ☕️

You guys really know your stuff! I’ve been on the lookout for different food sources for about ten years now and I can say you guys are spot on. I will say: ponderosa is a yellow pine and is poisonous, however, I have made tea from southern yellow pine down in Arkansas and it had zero effects on me. Not sure if it has a long term concern, though. I don’t even cut up my needles. I just stick a cluster in my teacup. I find it plenty strong as is and it’s easier to pull out the needles

Is that a dog snoring in the background ? Must be ol' Faith again! Ha-ha! Back in 1972, '73 I read a book about foraging. (Back in High School. Does that make me an old lady?) I don't recall the author, but he was known for saying something like, 'trees, some parts are edible!" or something like that. Anyway he wrote about this, too. It is what I consider to be "ageless knowledge". It is so nice that you are passing it on, too. Thank you Stacy and Doug.
