Great video, man. This was my favorite game to play from 2014-2018. I loved the character animations, the different locations, the collecting of millions of bananas, and of course, the ability to run endlessly. But once that 5 year celebration update hit, my respect for the game fell off the face of the earth. I tried replaying some today, but kept getting overwhelmed with pop-ups about ad removal, a confusing menu layout, and levels that barely last any time at all and don't feel fun or challenging, but a brief chore to get over with like you said. And worst of all, they took almost everything away from you. Your jelly lap progress, your upgrades to props and items, all of your bananas. Heck, even collecting bananas from your run doesn't even affect your banana count in the menu, thereby making them feel worthless. What did you do to us, Gameloft? Glad to know I'm still not the only one who felt ripped off all those years ago.
Also they removed multiplayer which was(and it's still is)one of my favourite things about the game. Once they removed i felt all memories were gone and i was really sad because it was one of my favourite and nostalgic games.
Thank you for doing this I feel like this game's history is not well documented it used to be one of the best mobile Runners ever but then the jelly Labs came and then the downfall started
Yeah Gameloft nearly had a good game but NOPE down the drain it goes!

Tbh the game manly falled In 2018, sure the jelly lab took away the auto runner thing but it was still cool.

I miss the bosses they were fun to fight
i do agree the game is now at a lower stage of where its at but it has not fallen graciously as the top banana's room (aka pretty much endless) still has that thrill. (this video may have been made before top bananas but idk)

They have added a infinite runner mode
Still pretty unnecessary especially since the game was originally already an endless runner. Gamrloft ruined minion rush because of greed
Crash Bandicoot On The Run is better.
I have been playing that btw and it has been really enjoyable because it has an endless mode
i never liked the game the game looked rlly bad and felt like a complete rip off of subway surfers
