- The infamous Billy West incarnation of our favorite limbless eggplant just doesn't get the credit he deserves. In the series itself, Rayman is depicted as a sassy, rebellious teenager (at least I see him as a teen) with a no-bullshit attitude, but happens to be very considerate and cares for others around him, while being a wise leader to his group of circus fugitives. Any scene with Rayman in it is one of the only watchable moments in the show, in my opinion.
Despite hardly being the main focus and only using his powers for two episodes, the rest of his character still carries out those good ol' Rayman factors. In fact, he feels more like Rayman than Captain Laserhawk's lackluster, cocaine addict. As for Billy West, I think he did a decent job capturing a teen Rayman's essence, if not for the broken Boston accent. (Although, I gotta be honest. The accent is very amusing to listen to. lol)
Rayman The Animated Series certainly isn't good, but it isn't bad either. In fact, it's more watchable than Rabbids Invasion. (And no, I'm not saying that out of spite) Rayman himself is possibly the only strong point in this series. If you don't wanna watch it for the story, then just watch it for Rayman!

Billy West is my favorite Rayman tbh. David Gasman may be objectively better, but I still prefer Billy simply cause I can't forget his voice as Rayman.
I mostly associate Billy’s voice with Great Escape-era Rayman.

I have literally never heard rayman’s voice nor have I played a game but this boston accent is absolutely hilarious
He talks in the PS1 version of Rayman 2, its remake Rayman Revolultion, a little bit in Rayman 3, and he has voiced one-liners in the Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope DLC. All them were performed by David Gasman.
Something funny about Billy West using the same voice for two characters that get rescued by someone's ability to bend metal bars.

I wish this cartoon continued further tbh, aside from Billy West Rayman it’d be interesting if Razorbeard ended up abandoning Rigatoni or overthrowing him in favour of creating an empire of robopirates with a goal for world domination

Yeah imagine if it ended with Razorbeard giving off a menacing speech about now he's in charge now and he's gonna take things a step further and then we see loads of green eyes in the dark lighting up which are supposed to be the Henchmen 800s. You know how Sonic SATAM (unintentionally) ended with Robotnik is finally defeated but Snively declares he's the villain now and this pair of glowing red eyes appear in the dark? (the eyes were confirmed to be Ixis Naugus) Yeah like that.
Of course he'd sound like his Futurama roles combined.

I just watched this series around three days ago, and i agree. I was expecting it to be bad, but i found it to be very endearing.
I always saw this series as a prequel to rayman 2 or 1. Which is why razorbeard isn't a pirate yet.
Probably left the circus to find Rayamn, found some pirates and became their leader, while rigatoni got a gun and became that sniper guy in rayman 1. Trying to hunt him down.
After Rayman met the fairies he decided to live in the forest while the rest lived in the city, since the fairies protects the forest from evil.
We gotta get to the cah.

You know what this is a neat concept even if this show never saw the light of day, Rayman and friends escaping the circus and having to hide from the authorities, I would watch it, Globox in season 2 hopefully?
