Hoping that the cannabis industry could be the fighter of the trend for everything to be big corporate monopoly owned wasn't fair. If cannabis has to take the road of most products we consume, let it. Fight monopoly by striving to buy locally produced foods, beverages, entertainment, clothing and household good. Just be happy to be high without handcuffs.
You should do so research on which industry you are truly referring to and who is driving the greed.

I smoked daily for 30 years, and still hit a pipe or pen a couple times a year if one gets passed to me in a social situation, but I never made it my identity, or would smoke on a specific day at a specific time just for the sake of smoking, but good for these guys for being able to make a fun day out of it.

Anyone remember the Hippie Hill in Memphis, TN?? We always called it Hippie Hill right on top of Beale St…Always got together during Memphis in May

From 1968-thru the early 70's we would hitch down to Golden Gate Park from Bellingham WA. It would be a race between two groups to see who could get there first. Took about 16hrs. We slept in the park and listened to free rock concerts. Just outside the park were deli's with awesome food and weed was being smoked everywhere. Distinct varieties: Michoacán, Guerro, Aculpoco, Oaxacan, Sinoloan. They were very potent too. Heroin was introduced and took down the whole scene. This continues up to today and now everyone can see just how far a government will go to get it's way!
Anywhere they can infiltrate where humans are expressing higher energies of freedom, power, and creativity, they'll do it in order to co-opt it, invert it, and ruin it so humanity never evolves, because if humanity evolves they can't be controlled, and if they can't be controlled the government loses. It's all over for them, and they just can't have that...
And I'm old enough to remember that time, so I hear where you're coming from 👍✌️

Wow I remember this from back in the day, which for me was the early 90's. It was mostly the local crew and then a handful of folks on Grateful Dead tour. Since the Dead were setup in March for East Coast Spring, they normally took April off, which allowed Jerry to set up at the Warfield with his band. Those 4-20 days the first half of the 90's was where it was at. Total family vibe. Now its one big marketing campaign. Well, at least we have the memories. Im sure these folks are.makong their way through life and loving this just as much.
