Thank you! 😁 So thrilled you enjoyed it so much. 3 Point Lighting? Got you covered: ua-cam.com/video/xKLINS7uANg/v-deo.html As for glass and reflective surfaces, good suggestion! Leave it with me. I’ll see what I can come up with.
Is there a way to soften the lighting without the grid or skirt? I'm on a shoestring budget with very little equipment. Understandable if there's not but I figured I'd ask
Yes of course, you can diffuse the light with diffusion gel or any white semi-transparent material like a shower curtain. The trick will be in control if the light so it doesn’t spill everywhere and add too much ambient light, ruining the effect. That is the main reason for a grid or skit. But you could make your own lantern with an inexpensive paper lantern and then skirt it in black fabric. Just don’t use hot lights! Basically you want to soft the light first, then control the spill. This might give you some ideas on how to diffuse: ua-cam.com/video/1bVuicRH-J4/v-deo.htmlsi=rEU2k-OZZ3Yj0iGL
