- With the rain stopped, and the sun shining I decided to dedicate the weekend to riding my bikes around. Saturday started with a 160 Km tour of the Chittering Valley..
Thanks for a great post.
Thanks mate, was great to see the old stomping ground since they put the new highways in 👌
Thanks for this post, I live in the southern suburbs and use the Tonkin hwy path to get to Muchea (bp garage), have always been tempted to get into Chittering etc but dubious about the brand hwy. That side road advice was perfect, cheers and thanks for taking the time to film and post.
@@michaeltrimble5162 the road is alongside the Great Northern Hwy. The brand has a big wide shoulder. I have ridden the brand up to Gingin and it’s easy ride with lots of room.
Thanks for sharing that was a great ride
There's a great bakery just past the shell garage that's just past the road house ...Highly recommend there pies
@@cosbro5389 wish I knew. The 4 hour old toastie wasn’t that good 😂
@@jjsadv Its almost next to the IGA in that group of shops..I lived in Bullsbrook for a few years circa 2015...I'm now in Yokine and often hold the record for most rides up the PSP from Morley to Neaves rd and beyond...I like it because I can put the earplugs in and don't have to worry about pedestrians ,dogs or cars ...My mate said that I must have a girlfriend up there to which I replied if I did then I wouldn't waste my energy on the bike..😂
Neaves Rd safe? 110km/h and next to no shoulder. You did well to survive. I’d be taking Ocean Reef every time. Looked like a nice route otherwise.
@@scotttully7602 it’s as safe as any other road. Done it 20 or so times without any issue so far. I guess if a truck run you over you would be in a bit of trouble. But that could be any road. I had a car side swipe me in Freo in a 50km zone. They came over to the wrong side of the road.
Ocean reef has a wider shoulder. But a lot more traffic. And basically the same speed give or take. I ride ocean reef a few times a week.
Is there a map on Strava?
