For Todays Cosmic Wednesday I wanted to share some lore of a modern day Herald that helped bring H.P.Lovecraft into the mainstream.
Director Stuart Gordon 🎬 played a pivotal role in introducing H.P. Lovecraft's unique brand of cosmic horror to mainstream cinema. Gordon's 1985 film "Re-Animator," based on Lovecraft's serialized story, injected Lovecraftian themes of forbidden knowledge and grotesque science into the horror genre.
