Beautiful. My Toller lived to be 14 years old and everything about her was special. Loving, playful, smart, funny, friendly. Her name was Coco and she was a part of the family. I'll never forget her Toller scream. If a cat walked down the road and she was in her chair looking out the front window it would be loud enough to break glass. Couldn't keep her away from water. Would swim in ponds, the ocean and jump through sprinklers. She would paw my legs when she wanted something. Ouch, those nails.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY GORGEOUS GIRL!! Loved watching the updates, I hoping to get my own toller this year, so watching her grow and figure things out with you has been super helpful and fun
Hiya, i have been following you since you got Sable. I have a Toller that has turned 1 year last week as well and looks very much like Sable, only that he is a small male toller. Your videos helped me with some of Finnians trickier phases, as they were quite challenging. And it was interesting that Sable goes through a fear phase with cars etc. And being nervous on walks. Finnian is doing the same at the moment despite groing up in a city. Thanks for the videos. Looking forward to the next one!
Hi, Arisa! Thanks for following along! Does Finnian have the exact same birthday?? Happy birthday to him! That is interesting that he is going through a similar phase. Is there anything specific that you’re finding helpful??
Heya, its almost the same birthday!:) Finnian is born on the 10th of April. I found myself doing the same as what you described. Trying to give Finnian a lot of confidence by giving him instructions and some if his favourite treats. I am also trying to balance it out, not confronting him with his fear all the time, but occasionally exposing him to some of these situations, especially when he is already in a very confident mood.I find then he is more likely to overcome his fears and learns to trust me more for the next time. Thanks for the videos...
She is very friendly with new people when they come to the house (arguably too friendly!). She is a bit nervous meeting new people outside of our house, but not in an aggressive way! She is always friendly, but just a bit shy outside of her home.
Suggestion: I once read a book from a Scandanavian trainer. She used a highly effective and simply exercise: every time (in this case the train) passed by she yawned very noticeable. Dogs communicate that way to appease eachother and in this case after a while the dog got the message that she could calm down. I think her name was Turid Rugas or something like that.
@@ADuckTollerNamedSable Correct. Dogs use all kinds of appeasement techniques to help eachother staying calm. Yawning is a probably a very potent one. And as it happens, licking your nose is not a very easy feat to achieve for us humans 😄.
Our puppy-toller is just born. March 31.. we will meet her next week. Myself is born on april 11. So i share my. Birthday with sabke. How cool is that.

Very nice dog. How is she with visitors to the house and meeting new people?

That is very interesting! So by doing that same thing every time, the dog was able to associate it with things being okay?
