32 Rivals from Pokemon history, but which is the strongest? I used AI to find out! #pokemon #pokemonscarletandviolet Join our discord and try our Gym Challenge: / discord
Well now we have a new masters 8: Cynthia (128 winner) Ash (Galar) Wally (256 winner) Dawn (Rival Winner) Blue (Champion Winner) Lusamine (Villain Winner) Kieran (SV DLC winner) Nemona (Paldea Winner)
Once Blue's Tyranitar and Gyarados are out, outmanoeuvring him becomes much easier. And Dawn's Lopunny and Bellossom actually DID something, in fact A LOT. That was amazing to watch.
I use a scarf hisu typhlosion on one of my teams. I either use it to spam eruption or I use lava plume to buff up my ally in doubles. Not much anyone can do against a +6 dachsbun using body press. It's the equivalent of beating someone in a fight by bonking them with bread AND losing because a dog belly flopped on your lap.
A Frontier Brain Tournament or Trainers using Legendaries (some of the Frontier Brains, Rainbow Rocket Bosses, N, Hop, Mustard) also would be interesting:-)
Carmine deserves a Kingambit-level Mightyena evolution after pulling a reverse sweep with those 4 Sucker Punch KOs and no one can change my mind over that 😤
Dawn's plays at 22:04 were insane! The AI feels a lot more sophisticated here, predicting switches left and right. I'm very excited for the next tournament. I hope that we get another multi-part one like the Masters 256.
Idk how fair this would be to the other regions, but I think for the region tournament, each gen should get its gimmick, in other words, kalos/hoenn gets mega evolution, aloha get z moves, galaxy gets gigantimax, and paldea gets Terra types. It may be too much to ask, since that leaves 1, 2, 4, and 5 with no unique things, but I digress
What is a region VS region going to look like? Best trainers from each? Best Pokemon from each? Also, DAWN WINS! Hell yeah. BDSP are not as bad as everyone says.
I have never seen so many upsets ever in an AI tournament like this. Dawn deserved it for taking out both Kieran AND Wally. The region seems interesting and curious how u do it. I would love an all-gym leader or elite 4 sometime. That would be interesting.
Dawn ai was quite impressive in this tournament i must say! she really use good strategies to make up for the lack of power of her team. i really enjoyed this tournament, it was refreshing to have unexpected characters make it far
I made a bracket before this came out and wow this went the complete opposite direction Also, the AI looks a lot better. Don't know if you made improvements but it is something I've noticed.
It has improved immeasurably. It’s actually taking switching into account. Previously it would always use the predictable stab super effective move, whilst the opponent would swap straight into a resist, now it’s using alternative moves to allow for a potential switch. I think that’s what allowed Dawn to win. Blue can’t just brute force it anymore.
@@intergalactic92while he didn't do it much in this tournament wally only won the 256 tournament because he would predict switches or switch himself (just like how dawn beat him with the bellossom play)
Rooting for N in these tournaments has been tragic lol. He came so close to pulling an upset against Cynthia and did about as well as he possibly could've against Sada, only for him to get crushed by RNG against Serena, oof. I think a fun idea would be a "restricted" tournament. Everyone who had to forego their trump cards in previous tournaments gets to use them against each other, like Red actually being able to leverage his physical DD Charizard with Mega X and N pulling out one of the dragons. Maybe not the most balanced tournament but that'd kinda be the beauty of it.
Spoilers: As did everyone, really didn't expect Dawn to win, especially with that Bellossom and Lopunny. Weirdly enough they seemed to be perfect niches for her team and winning a tournament with Blue and Kieran in the mix is crazy. She is a lot stronger than first glance, haha
Spoiler Great tournament as always. I always found Dawn's team in BDSP really suiting for her, and felt that it was quite strong. Good for her to become champ of this bracket, she deserved it.
I just now found out that this team is actually real and used in BDSP, I just taught that Pokedad had put her anime team and swapped Pachirisu for Bellossom, but no this is actually a thing and its cool, we hardly see anime references in the games, so its great that someone who worked for BDSP cared.
Well considering how many normal and flying types there are breaking the primary tera tyle rule with Unfezant made sense but it unfortunately lead to Hugh loss. Also Bellosom and Simipour are players of the tournament
Its a great idea however when we add up all of them: Misty, Brock, Tracey, May, Max, Dawn, Cilan, Iris, Serena, Clemont, Bonnie, Kiawe, Lana, Mallow, Sophocles, Lillie, Goh and Chloe. We get 18 and to be a tournament need to be 16, so we would need to take 2 out.
She deserved it to say the least, given how she was playing. That Bellossom switch into a predicted Gallade was genius. It wasn't a completely luck-based battle unlike N vs Serena.
i'm in the same boat, only found out silver was a dude like 20 years after playing the game which was like two or three years ago when i found out, in my head cannon hes still a girl though
You are so based for saying AMOUR ALL THE WAY. No matter how many years past, I myself will never stop being an amourshipper. Also, Anime Serena was written so amazingly well, that overshadows her game counterpart entirely and that's awesome.
I'm so sad that Kieran lost during Round 2. I was so looking forward to seeing Kieran go up against Wally. Especially since Wally won the World Tour and Kieran won the SV DLC tournament. Unfortunately, that didn't happen. 😔
I had an idea for a tournament which protagonist is strongest Red Green Gold Crystal Brenden Lucas Hilbert (worst name in the franchise) Nate Callum Ilio (I think that’s how you spell it) Gloria (come on she got the attention) Juliana Wes (not fein this time but the real deal) Ash And who ever else you can think of each one of them will use a team of the most important Pokémon they find on their journey so each will have a starter gold will have a red garados because reasons and of course ash will use the team he won the Pokémon league with
Why Lillie? She's not a rival at all. Why have both Dawn and Lucas when you only have May and Akari? Why Sawyer instead of, say Gary (different team than Blue) or even Richie? Or any rival for that matter? (You already have all the Kalos friends, why more Kalos?) Why does Gladion have Porygon-Z instead of a starter? You had some weird choices here, and I don't understand them all. Edit: WHY EVOLVE SILVER'S SNEASEL BUT NOT MAGNETON?????? YOU DON"T MAKE SENSE!!!!!!! Even if it was to be a Eviolite 'mon, Magnezone would still be leagues better! What is this?
Understand you're a bit frustrated by this, but I stand by every decision. For Lillie, it's rivals and friends. Loose definition. I've included her before. Dawn and Lucas have distinct differences in BDSP, Brendan and May are always identical to each other. i picked two anime rivals that differed significantly from game rivals. Blue is too close to Gary and Ritchie is simply not competitive. Gladion never has a starter in game. So doesn't get a starter.. and he has a PorygonZ in game.. so gets that. Silver has no defense on the rest of his team. Eviolite makes Magneton tanky at the expense of base sp.attack being 10 points lower but speed being 10 points higher. Understand your frustrations, but it's always best to assume I've actually researched and thought these things through.
I mean when someone shows up with a bellossom you know they came to win, you only bring a pokemon like that to flex on everyone

Everyone memeing about Scarf Eruption Typhlosion but when you do one thing REALLY WELL you don't need anything else.

Back in the day I had a saying with my friends:
"Real men use Bellosom"
Yessssss. My Dawn proved them all wrong. A great day for us gen 4 suprematists
I really didn't expect that final two.

Silver, how? Perfectly summed up the semi-final line up.
Silver won Silver medal LOL.
Now N knows what it felt like when Ghetsis got screwed against his opponent Saguaro.
I wish tierno could have come back in SM so he could have a dancer theme team.

Love your videos and commentary!
This was even more surprising than the other tournaments

6:19 Man that was crazy
If hop had his zacian team he would have won for sure.
Seeing Penny lose, there's a good reason I should just stick to champion Pokémon. It diversifies me and makes sense now that I have grown older.

It would be really cool sometime to see trainers Pokémon with their in game levels.
Man, when I saw the final four I was confident that the runner-up would win. What an interesting set of matches!
Intro be like:
Hey kids pokedad
(Cuange that to hey kids its your dad)
Kids be like: Ayooo is thst my long lost father
Well considering how many normal and flying types there are breaking the primary tera tyle rule with Unfezant made sense but it unfortunately lead to Hugh loss.

That final though...
Very excited for this!
Dang what a crazy tourney
I was rooting for Dawn but still didn't expect her to go that far!
I was watching this at 2x speed and penny's theme was hilarious 😭
How do you setup these AI tournaments? I must know. Pleade make a tutorial video, I'm begging you
The moment dawn takes down Wally I knew she would win this tournament
Next tournament idea: Which Ash companion is the strongest according to AI?
Its a great idea however when we add up all of them: Misty, Brock, Tracey, May, Max, Dawn, Cilan, Iris, Serena, Clemont, Bonnie, Kiawe, Lana, Mallow, Sophocles, Lillie, Goh and Chloe. We get 18 and to be a tournament need to be 16, so we would need to take 2 out.

Silver vs Dawn
I don't know who to root for.
I like both. And i hoped one of them wins the Tournament after Kieran and Wally lost
I was hoping Silver would win. Runner up isn't bad!
8:40 PHEW
Dawn was not surprising, an actual competetive setup is usually gonna win no problem against a casual team, even strong ones like Silver's.
Dawn robbed us of Wally vs Kieran. That would have been so hype.

Would Magnezone instead of Magneton help Silver?
Well there are no magnetic places in Kanto and Johto for some reason (power plant was right there)
