Fiction are like that. Yaoi doesn't really represent gay men and relationships right, so they're often romanticized especially the disgusting rape trope. It's still good though, I mean there are some gems like Rumspringa no Joukei. And yeah I read yaoi, mostly fluffy ones to calm and relax me.
