G’day Tristan, watched a couple of your clips. Saw one that mentioned Alcoholic drinks being served in similar glasses. This is to measure alcohol content to help you decide whether to drive. One 10z glass of regular beer is 1.1 standard drinks. So 3 glasses = 3.3 standard drinks. The Oz limit is 4 standard drinks per day. Similar to wine. Most wine glasses will have 2 marks on the side (high tide and low tide). If you’re driving, low tide is 1 standard drink.

If and when you go to Western Australia travel north to a place called Cape Leveque. It’s amazing and beautiful very isolated but words are not enough to describe its perfection. Also if you ever want to check out Bundaberg (it’s on the coast about 5hrs north of Brisbane) I would be happy to take you around to see all the good stuff, we have amazing beaches, you can see the logger head turtles lay eggs and then see those eggs hatch depending on time of year, we have the Bundaberg rum factory, and the Burt Hinkler hall of aviation Museum.

Tristan, don't tell me that behind your sunny and sensible persona there lies a hard-core risk-taking adrenaline junkie (?!) Coz, you should always be aware of roughly your precise location when venturing away from Australia's populated areas...especially if you're going somewhere with no cellphone reception! And this applies equally to the bush (i.e. forested areas) as to the outback itself. And you should let either friends, family or police, etc, know of your intended hiking and/or driving intentions etc. Folks - generally visitors from overseas - are forever getting lost or stranded somewhere in Australia, be it in the outback or the bush, and often it ends in tragedy.

Question, do you actually have a proper Australian work visa or are you being paid under the table? I’m a US citizen and have lived overseas for nearly a decade and I’ve done a lot of traveling, as you are doing now, congrats on your decision to see the world.
However, one thing I’ve encountered through personal experience is it’s becoming increasingly more difficult to live this nomadic lifestyle due to visa restrictions and even more so due to the pandemic. Please be mindful that getting work overseas is not as easy as you may think, in the EU it’s nearly impossible unless you have visa.
I’m married to an Australian and I have a BS & Masters and I’m still not allowed to work until my visa is finalized, so I’m very curious as to how you’re managing to do so legally.

When planning a trip to Africa, you should check out the political siruations in the countries you want to go to. In a number of countries it's very dangerous because of activities of militant rebel groups. Not trying to be a wet blanket (ask if you don't know that expression!), just so you can have fun and stay safe 😃

Is educational to see perceptions of Australia for a foreigner who has spent time in country, rather than just some blow in who thinks they are an expert in just a couple weeks.
