Hey there! I believe it would be super helpful if you could provide your recommendations, such as on the amount of baking soda per 100 gallons a bit quicker in your videos. Keeping it concise would be awesome!
Hello, thanks for your helpful videos, I sure learned a lot, My question is, can I switch from chlorine to bromine after I replace to hot tub water and cleaned the filters ? Thank you for your time.
How do I lower PH without affecting Alkalinity? I have a 350 gallon hot tub with a prozone salt system. I always have high PH. When I try to bring it down (as slowly as possible) the alkalinity gets too low. This has been an extremely frustrating battle. Please help!
Hi Bill Unfortunately you can't completely move one without at least affecting the other a little. I will say to make sure and not turn the jets on when adding any chemicals as they tend to raise the pH a little. I do have a video which addresses your problem more specifically than this one does. So take a look for some additional answers - ua-cam.com/video/tVMDWh5Og8U/v-deo.html But muratic acid is probably what you need. I prefer this muratic acid alternative which is safer to use. Here's a link to see it on Amazon - amzn.to/318hIH5
Hot Tub Owner HQ Hey Jeff. I just got my water tested at Leslie’s. My PH is 8 and alkalinity is 77. I just bought some acid magic and borax. What exactly should I do? Raise the alkalinity first to about 100-110, and then reduce the PH with acid magic? How much acid magic? Also, am I understanding correctly that I have absolutely no circulation going on, no jets when adding the acid magic? How will it be evenly distributed? Finally, when do I add Borax to lock in the PH and how much? I have a 350 gallon tub with salt water system. Thanks Jeff!
Jeff Great videos and thank you for the helpful tips. I do have one question regarding pH balancing. My local spa store advice me when i add pH up or Down, I should allow the pH to balance for about two days before retesting and adding or reducing the pH levels. It seems that's a bit long. I'm using the Spapure pH up/down and the bottle states that i should let the water circulate for 15-30mins before re-testing and adjusting. is my local Spa store correct or should i follow the bottles instruction. Thank you.
Hi thanks for the video, very clear however how to do you apply ? Do you simply sprinkle the powder in or pre mix in a jug of water and then pour in ?? I have a lay z spa at Morritz
Hate to tell you this but at the 3:46 mark in this video you state that a low ph is alkaline and a high ph is acidic. That is completely backwards...pHs less than 7 are acidic while pHs greater than 7 are alkaline (basic). Simply put, pH is what refers to the acidity and alkalinity present in water-based materials. It measures how basic or acidic a substance is by measuring the amount of hydrogen ions present in the substance or solution. Ranging from 0 to 14 on a measurement scale, a pH of 7 is neutral while anything above or below is considered basic and acidic, respectively. Substances that are either very basic or very acidic are considered corrosive, creating a characteristic hazardous waste. Since the 14 different levels indicate how acidic or basic the water-soluble substance is, it’s important to recognize the difference in pH measurements. As the pH level increases, so does the alkaline. In other words, anything that has a pH level above 7 means the substance is alkaline. As a substance lowers in pH levels from a neutral 7 to anything below, it indicates an increase in acidity. A substance becomes increasingly more acidic as their pH levels decrease.

Finally someone that explains things
Hi there , correction if your pH is low it is very acidic if its high its more basic , you got that backwards at 0345
Made me doubt my knowledge bro
Very helpful tips and presented in an easy to understand way. with no BS
Thank you! Very Helpful
Alkalinity = Hot tub water's ability to neutralize acid.
PH = How acidic the water is.
No one talks more without actually getting to the point of the video than this guy
You Tube! This is good quality video content! Jeff, you’re as clear with your instructions as the water you have in your tub!

Thanks so much! Great video and very well explained! 😊
Thanks for the great alkalinity explanation. . Going to pour some baking soda in my swim spa now.
Baking soda works. Thanks!!!
Amazing professional
Tested alkalinity and when I incorporated R-0009 the water turned blue. TA too high?
1 tablespoons for every 100 gals. This video starts at 4:15
ng to wait before getting in?
3:43 I think you may have that flipped. A low pH means it's acidic while a high pH is basic/alkaline. Just wanted to let you know :)
You are correct! So if I said that in this one I definitely screwed up and got it backwards. Good catch on your part!
are we 2 the only one that caught that? lol
Hello, thanks for your helpful videos, I sure learned a lot,

Jeff, love the videos, it has been so helpful. Does bromide affect the ph or alkalinity and if so, how?
Hi William. I have never noticed it having any significant impact on my water. Thanks for the compliments!
Great video from the uk
Thanks, Matthew!!

Hi. Does this also work for inflatable hot tubs?
Water is water
Thanks 🙏 m8
Affects the PH how?! FFS
In one of your videos you said teaspoon and in another you said tablespoon. 🤷🏼♂️
This could have been a short without all the extra and repetition...
