IIN is over $7000 now just for a certificate . Way more than ace which is 800.00 . I agree a lot of what I learned at IIN you can find free online .
I loved how unbiased this felt. Thanks for the super helpful info!
thank you so much, it truly is! I see so much success Come out of both programs so I think it's important to just get the info out there! are you planning to get certified?:)
I have known I wanted to do something in the nutrition, health coach for about a year but feel when approaching any place, I had gotten the run around and have been looking at ACE. Your video was very helpful for me to help me along my search to change my career as I just turned 50. I just had bariatric surgery and have changed my life all together. Would like to find something to add to this coaching bariatric patients like myself as well.
girl that is SO AWESOME, you've changed your life and you can use coaching as an avenue to change so many lives! I would love to be a resource for you as you move through this process, make sure you visit the "ebooks" tab on emilywoodswellness.com to access the ACE guide, it'll help with the exam so much! Feel free to email me at contact@emilywoodswellness.com if you need any additional business help and good luck!
This is absolute great information. I am an RN with many years of experience, I'm currently a CCM, certified case manager. I feel the ACE course will be good enough for me and the type of assistance you provide business wise. Thanks for this info, i'm in a transition and really needed it.
absolutely, I'm so glad you found it helpful!! Feel free to reach out directly if you're seeking guidance on the business side of things, I have a lot of opportunities coming up for education!
@@emilyclairewoods I absolutely will.
I plan to do ACE so I would be interested in those notes and practice tests!!!! Thank you
Does ACE have any holistic aspect to it at all? Or is IIN the only one with any holistic options? And thank you so much for this video! It’s such a big help!
I went to Legacy Holistic Health Institute. They are NBCHWC approved and they have TONS of holistic content.
Very informative video! Love it. Thank you for making this. Really appreciate the insight
I'm so glad it was helpful!
Thanks for this video. Subscribed!
Emily I L❤VE your videos!!!! I am taking the IIN course right now & I heard u mention several times... "IIN is good at teaching you how to "hold space" for your clients... forgive me do sounding stupid but what is it that YOU need by "holding space" for your clients?
Thank you Emily! Very informative!
so glad you enjoyed!! xxx
I wanted to become Ace certified coach; however, I was told I need to have a pre-requisite with another ACE certification first. Either become a personal trainer or dance instructor, etc.
Do you need any prerequisites to do ACE? From my research, it seemed that you had to have some prior degree in nutrition or a like field.
There are a few requirements, but you just need to fulfill at least one. For example, one requirement says An associates or higher in a wellness field, so like nursing, psych, social work, etc. They have a list of common degrees but it's not exhaustive.
This was so useful. Thanks!
so happy it helped!!
Very imformative video...loved it
I am so glad I found this video. What are your thoughts on AFPA? They offer several courses but I wasn't sure if alot of place would accept this credential or certification?
I know we connected on IG but I don't know a ton about that certification, I would check the accreditations and the requirements for any specific positions you might look to apply for, not all certifications are created equal so research is important!
Also curious about this myself. Seems like a good balance between affordability and value. I'm not sure if it's got the proper accreditation though. One red flag for me is that I can't find tons of information online about Afpa reviews and such :/
@@kejopr23 it will always be a personal thing when it comes to the level of accreditation desired, and this usually depends on how you'll be using your certification! You would likely be able to access specific accreditation requirements from employers of interest and the clarify through outreach to certifying bodies!
i would love to see a strategy video!
I'll definitely start pulling one together!!
Hi Emily it's me again!! Your, probably one of a few Dude aspiring Health Coaches... lol
OK... I started IIN about a year ago... however, even though I got well into the modules, because of "family" & "personal" situations I had to restart my program to the 8/22 SO... what I wanted to ask you is... Is it STILL an "intelligent" investment, knowing what I know now... to continue with IIN already now knowing that I'm GOING TO NEED a business "mentor/coach"
Please give me your Dreadfully honest opinion on that if you would Em.... 💪🏼Thank you dear...
I am really enjoying your videos!!
:( i just got into the IIN program yesterday omg... I should have waited and look up more stuff.
Hey how did you like IIN? I'm thinking about enrolling
I was just curious Emily you said that IIN prepares you for "Holding Space" for clients... Can you elaborate what you mean by "holding space"?
I also would like to see strategy video as well
Do you have to have prior education before you can start the health coaching program? Or am I able to go on ACE and purchase and go through the program?
What is the ACE website and do you need any prior education? I don't have any background in the health field. I have a diploma in Jewelry Design which is completely different.
there are prefect for the ACE certification, they'll be available through ACE as I'm not up to date on any recent changes!
I am not from medical background but I have NASM CPT cert and want to pursue the ACE nutrition cert. and it is mentioned that to become eligible to take ACE nutrition exam one should have the CPT cert and also should "Hold a current license as a healthcare professional"? Now is it really the deal breaker?
I went on your website and don't see your coaching course?
Do you have any insight as to the program at Emory University? Seems like they practice coaching every week and it seems like a thorough, balanced program.
I don't have any experience or insight into that program!
Hello, are you still taking clients? I looking to get started with my health coach journey
Hi Cassie! I'm so sorry for the delayed response, we just moved and it's been a crazy time! Yes I am currently taking clients and would be so happy to chat, send me an email to contact@emilywoodswellness.com with a little bit about your needs/goals and I can advise you on what the next step could look like!
Will Ace accept my First Aid, CPR and AED certification that I did as a hybrid course from American Red Cross? The course was completed online and the certification was done in person.
I would recommend checking directly with ace!
Hi Emily! Can someone find position with the wellness coaching certificate and not a bachelors degree in nutrition?
Does anyone know anything about the Health Mastery Institute? They're a lot smaller than the others it seems, so it's hard to find any information.
What have you heard of Dr. Sear's Wellness Institute's Health Coach Certification btw?
I don't have any personal experience with that certification!
Strategy video for ACE exam please!!
ok yes will be getting on this ASAP!! if you have any specific questions feel free to DM me on IG!
Has anyone ever gone through integrative health practitioner course? IHP?
How much is your study guide
Good video
Can you do ACE in the UK?
Yes I believe so!
I’m 17. I don’t want to go to college. I want to sign up for HIC (Health Coach Institute) but my fear is clients and starting my own business afterwards. I know that I will receive knowledge but will they connect me to certain companies or clients? And being a coach like you are, does it pay all of your bills like the place you’re recording in? I’m not being noisy I’m just literally worried and want to know. The price for HIC is $1,865.00 and I’m willing to pay, I don’t want ACE because I’m heading towards life coaching services less than fitness etc.
health coaching is something that can be very fulfilling/profitable even if you decide to get a degree later! I'd recommend a business mentor to speed up the process/help you work through your business strategy, as the certifications alone won't do that! you won't be business-connected through the certification alone, that's one foundational piece if you want to own a business! And yes I'm very blessed to have coaching be my full time operation! Reach out on my IG if you want to chat any more!:)
@@emilyclairewoods honestly I feel like you can get connections from these schools. Is that correct tho? I don’t think I seen iin graduates or another other health coach school talking about students teaming up with other students to start a business or whatever. My goal is Iin not to much into fitness
"EMazing" video (EMily) LOL :P
I plan to do ACE so I would be interested in those notes and practice tests!!!! Thank you
