    How has everyone been? (*^_^*)
    It is a dark sandalwood that contains a lot of water.
    Will the secret be revealed in the second half? !
    We plan to introduce it in two parts.

    Good control of that shakey looking oak. One night back in the early seventies the softwood mill that I worked at in southern BC we were sawing Red Cedar. The sawyer loaded the carriage with a five foot log about 24 feet long. He made a slab pass then a 2 inch pass and reveresed the carriage and turned the log to the opposite face. He hit the log a little too hard with the log turner and the cedar log fell apart to reveal a dead black bear about 3 years old. We figured that the bear crawled into the end of the log that was punked out and died for whatever reason. The sawyer and myself used two picaroons to pu;t the bear to the front of the carriage where the sweeper pushed the bear down the hole to send it to the burner.

      Thank you for your comment.
      Sandalwood is often planted in schoolyards in Japan.
      In that case, for example, a nail may be hammered when the rope is stretched at an athletic meet.
      I don't know where this tree stood, but I imagine it was in that situation.
      It's fun to imagine the life of this tree from the cross section of the tree.
      The continuation is scheduled to be lumbered tomorrow.
      I think the video will be uploaded tomorrow.
      Look forward to it☆(*^_^*)

    • @kirishimasawmill
      @kirishimasawmill  Рік тому +2

      Thank you for your comment. (*^_^*)
      One of the characteristics of Chinaberry is its vivid color, but the intensity varies depending on the tree. Older trees tend to be darker. The log this time is old, but it has a color like this because it contained a lot of water.
      The color will fade during the drying process, but the vivid color will be restored if it is ground again when it is made into a product.
