Karen, I am SO happy to see this! I bought the book and started this quilt in 2011!! I made 2 blocks, then it became a UFO. I have collected many reproduction fabrics. I dusted off my book and now I am looking for my 2 blocks...... I have retired, so I have more time to sew. I will be with you every week!
I cut the spine off my book with a rotary cutter and a ruler. It cut a few pages at a time and turned out beautifully. Then I used a three hole punch for the holes and put it in a notebook.
12:50 is not a mistake. The blocks are identical. Maybe they're trying to show the importance of color placement to get the look that you want: red and beige pinwheel with the red touching a red square vs a beige pinwheel with one of the beiges touching green.
I can't wait to start. I love the idea of cutting up the book too or in a binder. I'll be running to Staples tomorrow to do the same. Thank you so much for all the effort and time you've taken to put this video together.
This looks so fun. Do you think it's doable for a beginner quilter? I just started learning about a year ago. You explain everything so well so thought I might try it since my husband is a Civil War buff. Thank you!
I just asked to join your Facebook page. Since I already own this book and have “too much” fabric I need to get back to piecing some blocks! It’s been a bit too long.
I have ordered my book. I really can’t wait! I previously joined the fb group however I can’t find the pages you mentioned for the layout we can print. Please can anyone help point me in right direction. I did look at nine patch a day but I must be doing something wrong because I can’t find them.
So glad I stumbled upon your video this morning. I would love to join you, but first I need to find a copy of the book. Second, can you please point me to the "Nine Patch Site" you mentioned? Thanks so much!
You can find the Nine Patch A Day Group on Facebook. It's a private group, so you ask to join and then answer the question "Where do you live" with your state or country.
I also came across your channel the other day! Book is ordered, some fabric ordered. I’m on the FB group and am looking forward to this year with excitement. Thank you for all you do.
I didn't publish that list because it is subject to change. I will announce the blocks on the first Sunday of each month at 6am in the video about the blocks.

Let’s quilt !🎉

Thank you for this series. I used to make all reproduction fabric quilts and have moved into other modern fabric styles. Time to revisit to my roots.

Will definitely be purchasing the book and looking forward to making this quilt. Well explained video. 😊Thank you

I made it when Barbara Brackman did it online for free before it was made into a book. I need to put it all together. My blocks are all done.
Oh what a beautiful quilt! I may need to follow along and do a medium sized version….. it would be such a learning experience for me 👍🏽👍🏽
Can’t wait to get started on this. I have been wanting to make one for decades.
The Civil War Sampler quilt is lovely...best wishes❤❤
I am also glad to see your video and will sew along with you.
This looks like fun! Can't wait! Thanks!
Oooh I recognized this book. I may have to follow along. Just subbed ❤
I did just subscribe so hope I’ve done everything correctly!
I went through my stash and picked out civil war fabrics. I bought just one yard of fabric which could be sashing.

Mind if I ask where did you find the book? I'm coming up empty, unless I go digital. @@beckyjohnson9917
OK...I am not on Facebook, so I won't be able to join. Thanks for your reply, @@KarenMontgomeryTQC

I’ve been searching for Civil War and Revolutionary War reproduction fabrics. Any idea where I can look?
Karen This sampler is awesome but i have not been able to find your list for cutting, Can you tell me haw to get it?

Where can you get the book? It appears to be out of print.
check quilt shops. One that might have one is Off the Rails Quilting in IA
What do you know? I found one at my almost-local quilt shop! Thanks for the suggestion.@@donnaf4271
Does anyone know where to get the Book? Amazon does not have it
I bought one on Quilt in a Day
