I've seen a couple one handed/armed basketball players that have been really good. One here in this area I live was 2nd team all conference and was an absolute lockdown defender, could hit the three, and great court awareness. He actually ended up running track in college.
Basketball is one of those rare sports where certain things can definitely help you but GREAT players can still come in ALL shapes and sizes, age, colors, religion, background, and gender. You can have an entire team working together like a well oiled machine or you can have one player take over the entire game by themselves! Truely is a game of chaos and beauty!
