I am wildly excited about this one! Even with the late hits taken out, the tackles are still brutal! This one will be a man cave mega hit. The 49 way stick his a massive win for A1U, now they can use that stick for other games like Sinistar.
About 15% of the tackles are said to have been taken out but it is still pretty cool. If I did not have my own modded Blitz cab I would buy one in a heartbeat.
Just me, but if I were going to have a “must have” item in order to produce an NFL Blitz cab, it would be after the whistle hits, not a 49-position joystick.
Yeah i did a poll on that and it was almost 50/50. Correct joystick is my preference but i understand wanting the hits. Nfl deserves the blame for being such dorks.
Does this mean we can get a Sinistar cabinet with the rest of the William's classics? Sinistar without such precision control is not really playable... but one of my favourites of all time!
The online peeks my intrest, was shooting for mostly 80's arcade cause im old, but when my youngest boy was 10 this was in the mall arcade we always went too..Now he is 33 and love my 1ups that I do not have room for...lol
What brand is joystick? Happ 49 way are $175/each. I'm guessing based on price point those are cheap knock offs in cab. That'll be pretty expensive to put 4 quality 49 way joysticks in this cab
Sounds like they're making their own (same as the other cabs). And good point: replacement cost will be through the roof on this unless we get a GRS type home arcade solution
I don't understand with this one! You can have service members died in combat and they have games that display them getting kill but it an issue have late hits in nfl blitz mind boggling! No disrespect to all the nfl players that die from the cause of concussion protocol but I am soldier myself (US Army) numbers doesnt match numbers that are lose from wars and conflicts all around the world! I think it should have been a feature to turn on and off for the late hits instead of water down to kool-aid! I wait just for a sale to happening or fall below 450.00!

Basically, it’s a 24-way, because nobody uses the zero position and everyone always uses the fastest or full push in any of the directions. I’ve never seen anyone go light on a joystick.

No but Sinistar does. I think Qbert is just a rotated square gate (so a diamond, iirc). Would LOVE a QBERT cab btw but it sounds like we won't ever get one :(

They altered the game there’s no late hits they removed players is it even blitz at this point 🤨
A real 49 way stick is around $130-$150. . lets just hope it plays half decent with whatever knock off they've come up with.
They could probably use the tech for modern-day console controller analog sticks 🎮.

I already have Blitz 99 & 2000 running on my modded NBA Jam cab so I'm definitely good on not getting this one.

I suspect the real issue is the nfl is more interested in protecting its brand than any genuine concern for harm stemming from game graphics, my man

So you can install a 49 way joystick 🕹 but you can’t install better buttons and a 1080p ips screen thats at least 19 inches 🤨
They would need a much more powerful soc than whatever they’re going to have to run 1080p!
