HOWEVER... His mike skills were ok but lacked when compared to guys like Ric Flair, Stone Cold Steve Austin and the Rock. His wrestling talent was limited, he never used the ropes esp. compared to guys like Randy Savage, Ricky Steamboat or Jimmy Superfly Snuka. His in ring technical talent was nothing like Curt Hennig, Brett Hart or Shawn Michaels. Wrestling owes him a lot but he was not as great as he was hyped up to be. More like the first Ultimate Warrior who was huge and super over but had the same shortcomings as Hogan.
hogan actually could wrestle. if you watch some japanese matches or those with bob backlund in his early days, he did have some skills. i'm not saying he's as skilled as dudes like backlund, but he did know some moves & holds. warrior was one who couldn't wrestle, though.
