When a draw feels like a win! Brilliant performance. AG10 is mint. Deserves the no.10 shirt for enterprise alone. If Isak was the one up top, he would not have pressed effectively as Gordon. We are lucky we had such a great lad in our squad. Does not matter how much money we need to shell out, sign him up for a decade if you have to. Lewis Hall was brilliant. Tripps was fantastic. Murphy did everything so well. Tonali put Grealish in his place (I hate Grealish, such a scum of a player). Pope saved brilliantly. Good effort and a good weekend! On to Tuesday. Up the toon!
Let’s hope that’s not one of those ‘play well against good teams and then crap against bad teams’ situations from us. If we play like that against everyone the we’ll be fine. If………?
He needs serious coaching on his finishing. He wants to do too much instead of just hitting a pass into the net. He's the furthest thing from a natural finisher. Only glaring weak point of his game.
Really hoping that's a turning point and we don't end up handing Everton their first win of the season next week, which would be a very Newcastle thing to do... EDIT - second win of their season.
Trippier didnt take the ball for their goal and maybe shouldnt have dived in, but Grealish was also quite lucky that it bobbled and rebounded off his knee, but still landed perfectly for him. Good, energetic performance against the best team in the league.
@@BaronSpamedi I think Tripps attempt to nip in and win the ball from Grealish was one of those risk reward tackles .. IF he nicks it and we counter the crowd goes up and he’s a hero .. never going to fault him for for that, Dan Burn however should never be charging around and selling himself so easily inside the box! Stand up and defend your goal in situations like that , he’s huge and needed to be a lot calmer and cleverer than to sell himself so easily… had a great game other than that moment though.
@stevenphillips4494 agree. I can't bring myself to be too critical of anyone, really. (Except the officials cos we could have had two other penalties) They've come off the back of a run where they haven't been playing as well as we know they can and had a stinker at Fulham. They went toe to toe with the best team in the League, deserved a draw, and could have even won it. Hopefully, they've all been working to address the issues, and this will give them the confidence to kick on, performance wise.
I must admit I have criticised this channel in the past for negativity, the thing I do give you most credit for is sticking to football in your podcasts, unlike some others who drift away and talk about their favourite pizza.
Gordon having to be striker was probably a weakness, city getting ref favour isn't new, and coming off poor performances. Yet a draw with City, I am not disappointed, but we need to start getting wins to keep ourselves at the upper end of the table. We are still under the 1st quarter of games still time to improve and aim for top 4. However I feel it may be extremely close this year
Charlotte gets so nervous about getting kicked out 😂 Definitely a penalty, no other decision once he didn’t make contact with the ball .. how can VAR choose not to get involved!
Newcastle failure to bring in a striker, when Wilson was already injured, was criminal and short sighted. Forget the winger or defence, another first team striker was of prime importance knowing as only one of the 2 was fit at the time
Fantastic team performance by every man in a black and white shirt don't know about city but feels like 2pts dropped by us never mind what the usual suspects say 😮

All very true! Comfortable performance on Tuesday hopefully, then real momentum for a tough away trip at Goodison
Dan burn as ever goes uncredited . He has been fucking FANTASTIC at the back this season ...great game
Accident waiting to happen tbh 😮
Kept Haaland quiet which is a lot more than other centre backs this season haha
Amazing performance and agree Lewis Hall was immense.
Yes I was so impressed with Hall today,, as the whole team and a well deserved point.
Feels like a win
Charlotte feeling like us all, our intensity is back hopefully it continues.
Best performance of the season
I’m glad you told us you were outside Charlotte because the edit was seamless.
Better light out there anyway
It was. Si was glowing
Excellent summary, on point.

Fingers crossed, will quickly find out on the weekend!
Gordon was outstanding today 👏🏻
That’s the most energy I’ve seen from him this season.

@@davidgould5708I do believe that will come. He wants it
Get in Charlotte 💪

God me too
Love it💪 on a side note, if anyone off TF reads this, can you reissue the brown ale merchandiser pls 😎👍
Once we have intensity and it’s consistent we can focus on technical issues and improve even further.
I thought Joe actually made a meal of it, however seeing it again I thought it was a 100% pen.
Same here on the replay it def a pen
You can't make any contact in the Box simple as. Soft but it's a pen.

Tonali’s best game? Was a good return for him but that’s not near the levels of Villa last year
Oohh good point. Maybe second best! Best this season 😅
Much much better. No obvious MOTM as they were all excellent. HWTL
Handful of MOTMs

VAR probably looked at it and thought ‘we can’t give 2 pens against Citeh. HTL
They are quick to move you on this year haha

Blah blah blah
He might have used his body between him and the ball like any Good defender but his foot took away joes bringing him down so should have been a pen
We r united!!! Hwtl
